Let’s not forget that they get photoshopped and that the female idols photoshop themself. They have access to amazing skin care and makeup products because they A: have the money for it. B: their agency does everything. A huge amount of idols (especially female idols) have fixed their faces.

Yeah having stars as some sort of beauty ideal to strive for and compare yourself to is very unhealthy, not to mention unrealistic

SK society is extremely competitive and fueling and preying on this is the marketing behind Korean beauty and Plastic Surgery. It's so invasive and pervasive as drug marketing in the US. Also, they are exporting it hard outside SK. I see ads from companies in SK here in the US.
