User Interview: February 2025
Hello Hallyuplussers, and welcome back to our latest monthly User Interview (February 2025). This time, we'll be learning more about the interests of one of our more recent users, @SirTim0thy. Now, with all that said, let's jump into our (slightly delayed) interview for December!
Q: Introduce Yourself.
Hello Hallyuplussers, and welcome back to our latest monthly User Interview (February 2025). This time, we'll be learning more about the interests of one of our more recent users, @SirTim0thy. Now, with all that said, let's jump into our (slightly delayed) interview for December!
Sir Tim0thy: Hello there! It is a great pleasure to have the community honor me with such interest--especially as I see myself as one of the newer members (been here just over a year now). Shall we begin?

Q: How did you learn about H+? Why did you join?
Sir Tim0thy: I've frequented K-pop forums since 2011, staring with 6Theory, then Hallyu8, and OneHallyu. When OH announced it's closure, someone suggested H+ as a potential place for the refugees and I made the jump.
Q: What is your favorite thing about H+?
Sir Tim0thy: The fact that it is a forum—we mustn't let this format of the world-wide-web go extinct!
Q: If you could be another user for a day, who would you be and why?
Sir Tim0thy:

Q: How did you come up with your username?
Sir Tim0thy: I think it started when I made a YouTube account. It met all the various requirements, used my IRL name, and seemed fairly respectable.
Q: Who’s your favorite PlusPal? And why?
Sir Tim0thy: Par! Becuz cat :3

Q: Who was your first bias & do you still bias them (and/or their group)?
Sir Tim0thy: First bias was, is, and forever will be: Girls' Generation/SNSD.
If it's not obvious, I'm a total Sunshiner and there was no going back after watching Sunny on Invincible Youth.
Q: When did you get into kpop/Asian entertainment?
Sir Tim0thy: In 2011 an online friend had SNSD-related gamer tags for his characters ("TaeYeon" / "Sica Jung.") I googled these names out of curiosity, stumbled upon the Gee MV, and quickly became a SONE on the spot as I continued to binge all their MVs.
Q: Who is your bias and bias group(s)?
Sir Tim0thy: Itzy, IU, and SNSD are my primary interests these days. My other long-time faves (T-ara & BigBang) are effectively retired.
Q. Favorite kpop/jpop/cpop mv?
Sir Tim0thy: Depends on the criteria. Overall, I'd say SNSD's The Boys for it's stunning visuals.
However, I'd like to use my time in the spotlight here to highlight what might be a unique pick: "Hug Me Once" by Girl's Day.
For those unaware, this MV used to be INTERACTIVE!
Essentially, you could click through the video and have a "choose your own ending" experience, depending on which of the 5 members you selected (effectively giving you a 5-in-1 MV.)
I thought it was quite clever, and it wins points for its uniqueness.
J-pop for me has always been about Perfume <3
I don't listen to C-pop much, but I've been recently keeping an eye on Lee Soo Man's A20 project this year, so I'll go with that:
Q. Favorite non-Asian artist?
Sir Tim0thy: Gorillaz. I've been a fan since their 2001 debut with "Clint Eastwood" MV (I first saw it on a jumbotron at the X-games with my dad.)
I love their creative use of a fictional animated band, complete with lore.
I'd also say Enya, as I have a modest collection of her CD's

(and like any good 90's kid, I'm a Britney fan.)
Q. Which section and/or thread do you spend the most time in (on H+)?
Sir Tim0thy: Korean Discussions, The Union, and Food

User/Specialized Questions
Q. What's your #1 pet peeve? (Social Media team question)
Sir Tim0thy: When drivers forget to turn off their turn signal.

Q. If your name was already taken as a username, what would your alternative be? (asked by UMJI MOODS)
Sir Tim0thy: Tiimo! It's the other username I've used for over half my life at this point.
Q. Top 3 favourite & least favourite foods? + Your favorite baked food? (asked by Russian Roulette/Sweetheart)
Sir Tim0thy:
- Favorites: 1. Fruit! (especially fresh figs
) / 2. Coconut Chickpea Curry on rice / 3. Pizza
- Least: sour cream, cream cheese, and cottage cheese... No thanks~ x__x
- Baked food: I love baking fresh Naan
Q. Which user on the forum would you like to get to know better? (Social Media Team question)
Sir Tim0thy: Hmm, probably... mimenet. I don't know them well, however I can tell they have consistent good taste and fair takes on whatever discussions I've seen them participate in. Overall I like what I've seen.

Q. The FBI comes knocking at your door; which user would you trust to have your back/who do you think would sell you out? Also, who would you contact with your guaranteed phone call? (Social Media Team question)
Sir Tim0thy: I think I would feel most comfortable trusting Umji Moods. If for no other reason than he clearly has an above average grasp on how the law operates.
I'd like to think that no one would sell me out!

Q. You're one of our newer users compared to all of our senior-citizen lifetime member H-plussers. Who do you think has been the most welcoming to you on the site, and what do you most enjoy about our community? (Social Media Team question)
Sir Tim0thy: The collective kindness and acceptance of the entire community is part of what persuaded me to stick around. It would be difficult to place that responsibility on a single member. I also think H+ does a fine job including extracurricular ways to interact (cards, events, etc.)
Q. What's one thing you can't leave the house without? (Social Media Team question)
Sir Tim0thy: Extra layers, usually in the form of a sweater. I'm quite sensitive to cold temperatures.

Q. What is your greatest achievement [can be either on H+ or IRL] (Social Media Team question)
Sir Tim0thy: I am quite proud to have completed my master's degree with a 4.0 GPA. Diligence in knowledge isn't the only factor towards excellence, however it does play a role, and I am passionate about delivering first-rate services to my clients and the overall field of mental health.
Also, attending IU's world tour last year was a highlight of my life.

I will close by saying a heartfelt "thank you!" to the lovely users/staff of our shared community, and for your joint efforts in making it what it is. May H+ live long and prosper!
