Bandi, hello.
Wow, it really feels like it’s been such a long time since the “Monday fairy” last appeared. It’s the first time since last year’s live, right? I was thinking about going live today as well, but it ended up being just a thought...
Now that January is almost over, have you set your goals for this year? I imagine they might vary depending on how much you achieved your goals last year, or maybe you’ve gained new interests or goals in areas you never imagined due to changes around you. (After all, you’re a true “master of productivity”).
I haven’t formally organized my goals for this year yet, but I have a few in mind!
One of them is to improve my voice!
That’s because, at the start of this year, I began organizing the old albums on my phone. While doing that, I watched a lot of videos and realized my voice and speaking style bother me (even when I sing). So, my goal this year is to “improve my voice.”
I’ve been paying attention to it recently, but it’s not easy... haha. It’s amazing how strong habits can be.
Another goal is to “live enjoying life.” The words I’ve most associated with myself so far have been passion, energy, positivity, challenge, pushing limits, perseverance, and effort. These are great words, but, no matter what, “too much of anything can be harmful,” and there are definitely things we lose in the process, right? Also, no matter how much we try to live by those words, things don’t always go as planned.
It’s the unchanging law of life!
We all live to be happy, don’t we? So now, I want to be happy in each moment too.
(And of course, just your existence makes my life happy.)
These are my goals for this year. Compared to last year’s, they’ve become simpler, haven’t they? Time really flies in a year.
I hope I’ll be proud of myself when I read this letter next year.
Just your presence makes me happy today as well.

Hi, Bandi!
This week is Lunar New Year, Seollal!
I hope you have a wonderful holiday, enjoy some tteokguk (rice cake soup) to celebrate aging another year, and savor other delicious foods. Wishing you a joyful holiday!
What are you planning to eat during Seollal?
I’m thinking of making tteokguk with beef and dumplings, cooking it nice and warm, and adding a piece of refreshing, crunchy napa cabbage kimchi from last year’s kimjang (kimchi-making season). I imagine putting it all in my mouth and chewing slowly... I’m already hungry!
But I don’t think I’ll be eating tteokguk this year. Does that mean I won’t age a year? 
Instead of tteokguk, I preemptively enjoyed dongtaejeon (pollock fish coated in egg). The combination of the moist fish and soft egg batter was amazing!
I hope you eat plenty of food, including side dishes like namul (seasoned vegetables), meat dishes, jeon (savory pancakes), traditional sweets, and more, even on my behalf! May this time be a great opportunity to recharge your energy until the next Chuseok.
