i saw someone saying that JYPE has a new division now, im not sure if they moved to a different division or they messed up the translation

Ryujin said they have a division 4 now but that might just be a re-branding of Studio J since they lost a lot of their soloists. There's something wrong with Div2 management in particular. They just seem to make a lot of administrative mistakes. For the longest time they had subs on vlives then just forgot to put them on youtube for the same content. Then it's like their subbers quit and then they never bothered to hire new ones.

Div1 and Div3 have always had consistent subs for Twice and Skz.

I wonder if they are just understaffed for both Itzy and Got7. I think Div3 is a bit better since Suzy left and they can devote all their resources to Twice.

Twice is much better at vlive subbing, takes less than a day to sub, Youtube stuff gets a bit dealyed.
Knowing Itzy is supposed to cater for international fans also the youtube Eng subs should be a priority for them.
Because nobody comes back for youtube content after its uploaded​

I'm just as frustrated as everyone else, I promise, and my appreciation post wasn't meant to say I'm letting JYP off the hook, but sometimes it's good and healthy to sit back and be appreciative of the progress that has been made. We've complained about subs before and that's a very real problem now. But we can hold our frustrations and gratitude at the same time!


Alright now onto my grievances...

Div2 is the worst, but JYP is understaffed across the board. Onces for example have plenty of complaints of Div3 to go around that could help be solved by more staff too--you'd think the nation's girl group would have a bare minimum of 30 staff on their team yet they don't. It looks like grandmajudy is right about Studio J rebranding as Div4, Itzy hasn't moved. It's sad having Itzy in Div2 because it's causing so much tension with aghases. If Div4/Studio J wasn't so different in its creative focus, I would say Got7 should move to Div4. It just doesn't make sense to have any of their active idol groups sharing a division. Unfortunately, the only solution I can see working is upping the staff count in Div1-3 at the very least by 50%+, and maybe opening a 5th division. The overarching issue is more structural than just Div2, it's really with the tiny employee count at JYP altogether. I thought that after their focus on hiring in 2019 there would be way more JYP staffers to go around but there aren't, or at least not enough to meet the need.
