Congrats GEN G! Finally!
Although they are in the toughest and best region (LCK- Korea), they have always won the past 4 domestic titles. However on the International level, they somehow always fail to make it to the finals, and are known as international chokers. Their franchise star player Chovy was nicknamed Choky for not leading his team to win.
However Chovy and Gen G finally overcome this mountain. Chovy finally got his first International title (Asian games not counted). 3 of his other team mates also secured their 1st International title-Kinn, Lehends and Peyz. Only Canyon have an International title, winning the Worlds Championship with his previous team Damwon KIA a few years ago.
MSI is an international competition that is mostly won by LPL-China teams, with T1 the only LCK team prior to today winning it (And even then, the last time T1 was quite long ago). Meanwhile LCK have been dominating the Worlds Championship.
Now that GEN G have both won the Spring Season of LCK and MSI, it remain to see will they be the 1st team to conquer the golden road. To do that, they have to win the Summer Season of LCK and also the Worlds Championship finals.

LCK Summer Split officially started!
Series 1 Game 1:
A huge match between two teams who are expected to contend for the Play-off and maybe even the Summer title. DK and HLE. HLE is expected to take the series with how inconsistent DK was in the Spring Season.
But DK took Game 1.
Clean macro overall by DK. Showmaker despite having a tough early laning phase putting on a show in the mid game with his plays. Kingen with several nice engages. kellin not making any crucial game throwing mistakes. Lucid being a God on Vi. And Aiming being stable.
