With the year coming to a close, I've been thinking about Faky's evolution this year. I was apprehensive about the addition of Hina and Taki, mainly because I wasn't familiar with them as performers. I didn't need to worry because they've fit in better than I expected. They bring new energy to the group and it feels like they were always meant to be part of Faky. Akina's also grown allot as a performer this year. More of her personality has come out and she's perfect as the center of the group. I'm glad that Lil' Fang's vocal chord issues where resolved and she was able to continue as a member. Her voice is integral to Faky's sound. It also doesn't hurt that she brings the edgy visuals. As far as Mikako, she's solid as always. As an original member (just like Lil' Fang) she's a big part of the group's identity. Faky has changed allot over the years, so maintaining some level of consistency is key to building a fanbase.

Musically, I had no idea what to expect. With Faky's track record, it was possible we'd have to wait until next year for a single. Thankfully, things turned out differently. The 3 month digital single project was more than I could have asked for. Getting 3 MVs with decent budgets was a bonus. It makes me wonder if someone new took over management of Faky. At the very least, someone new may have taken a job overseeing the groups division and were like, "These girls have allot of potential. We need to push them." Whatever the reason, I'm glad they're finally getting the attention they deserve. Here's hoping 2020 is an even better year for them!
