I disagree with Yoshi about what his strength is. It's not his tone. Although his tone does make him stand out, it is not that type of tone that is popular. Yoshi's strength is that his is very good at projecting his voice while still sounding in control of his voice. He is loud on stage, so it comes off that he is confident in his ability (and also has good lung capacity).

For example, people who shout rap to sound louder on stage have less control in how their voice sounds and they also often lose rhythm and flow in the process of trying to be louder. I can think of a 2nd gen kpop rapper who fits this description but I won't mention names. Yoshi doesn't have this problem.
