Despite the video being only a minute and 34 seconds, it drew the attention of viewers. Like the title âTREASURE MAPâ suggests, a guide map to discover charms of all 12 members will unfold through the program.
The teaser clip showed TREASURE who received an âemergency noticeâ to be active as YouTubers. The members were half surprised yet half excited. BANG YE DAM got chatty and stated, âWhat if it works out better than our main jobâ, while JI HOON made the viewers burst into laughter by expressing his excitement through saying, âWeâll become YouTubers as well as singersâ.
Theyâve then pompously floated the drone and starting with their clumsy charms of being technologically illiterate, the groupâs sloppy yet charming challenge towards becoming a YouTuber was teased through the clip. Their challenges also included the worldâs first loud singing ASMR and mukbang through the ears.
The members of TREASURE are expected to get the fansâ empathy by revealing their humane aspects. The 12 membersâ reactions and high-tension beagle-like charms to induce âsubscriptionâ and âlikesâ raised expectations on the upcoming program.

YG company stans seem to prefer Haruto over Junkyu. Actually, rapper aura bias is strong with YG company stans. Yoshi was 7th place for Treasure Official IG and Twitter but 5th place for YG Official IG. Yedam is surprisingly lower in rank on YG Official IG. Jihoon has more likes. YG company stans also seem to have age/maturity bias. Jeongwoo was 8th/9th on Treasure Official IG and Twitter but 11th for YG Official IG.

YG Unveils Treasure Map Episode 1: 288 servings food challenge + mukbang
YG Entertainmentâs rookie boy group TREASURE challenged on cooking 288 servings of food and âmukbangâ, while revealing their jolly charms.
On January 17 at 12 PM, YG uploaded episode 1 of âTREASURE MAPâ through TREASUREâs official YouTube channel.
âTREASURE MAPâ contains the story of 12 creators on a journey to find the hearts(treasure) of subscribers. At the same time, MAP(Maximum Amusement Project) from the title of the show refers to the âmost interesting projectâ made by TREASURE.
The members made the viewers smile by officially shared greetings in the beginning of âTREASURE MAPâ by saying âTeuhaâ, which is a parody of an in-word âPenghaâ.
TREASUREâs first mission as YouTubers was cooking 144 servings of tteokbokki and 144 servings of gimbap, plus a âmukbangâ. Surprised by the huge mission, JIHOON made idle remarks by stating âWe should share them with all residents of Mapo-guâ and âWe should at least do that for the thumbnailâ, making the members burst into laughter.
After diving into 3 teams of 4, TREASURE members were informed that they cannot discuss the ingredients together and went shopping. After shopping diverse ingredients within a time limit of 15 minutes, the members had âshopping basket unboxing timeâ. TREASURE prepared various ingredients including ham, mozzarella cheese, eggs, bacon, shrimp, and salmon, before they finally began their mission of cooking 288 servings of food.
The âTteokbokki teamâ was composed of CHOI HYUN SUK, JUNKYU, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, BANG YE DAM, and DOYOUNG. The âGimbap teamâ was composed of JIHOON, YOSHI, MASHIHO, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN. Both teams began cooking with an energetic fighting spirit, but soon revealed their clumsy charms by revealing their poor cooking skills.
YOON JAE HYUK poured the teabag stock after opening the bag by mistake and hypnotized himself by stating, âWhat can I challenge if I get scared in front of foodâ, while JUNKYU made the people burst into laughter by adding preservatives along with the rice cake into the soup. YOSHI and MASHIHO focused while they made gimbap, creating their first-ever gimbap.
TREASURE than began their âpassionate mukbangâ. They left favorable reviews and praised themselves by stating, âItâs a success considering it was our first tryâ, âItâs really deliciousâ, and âThe taste reminds me of when I was in second grade elementary schoolâ.
Although they failed on the âmukbangâ on 288 servings, TREASURE promoted their friendship and looked forward to their next challenge.
