Who’s the Real ‘Game King’ of YG TREASURE? ‘Eager Desire to Win’, JUNKYU vs HARUTO

[OSEN=이승훈 기자] To check the actual gaming skills of JUNKYU and HARUTO of YG’s rookie group TREASURE and to find out who’s the actual game king, CHOI HYUN SUK went on a fact check.
On July 18, YG Entertainment uploaded ‘Fact Check-Game Episode’ through their official blog and TREASURE’s YouTube channel.
TREASURE has previously mentioned that JUNKYU and HARUTO are the best at gaming among the members during their ‘VLIVE’ broadcast. To perform a fact check, CHOI HYUN SUK called out the two members and held a gaming competition.
Before they began, JUNKYU provoked HARUTO by stating, “(Even if you lose) Don’t feel sad, your opponent was me”. HARUTO did not lose and heated his desire to win by answering, “You won’t be able to play games anymore”.
The first game was a mobile racing game, picked by JUNKYU. JUNKYU showed confidence even before the game began by stating, “I’ll see you at the rank games, everyone!”. The game began under heated tension, and JUNKYU focused on the racing even though HARUTO asked JUNKYU various questions since it was his first time playing the game, which made the viewers laugh.
After finishing the lap first, JUNKYU cutely showed off his pride by stating, “You should come in within 10 seconds”. However, HARUTO finished his race right away despite being his first gameplay, which made JUNKYU surprised.
The next game was ‘Pikachu Tekken’. The two members let down their beagle-like charms and showed tremendous concentration and sincerity.
CHOI HYUN SUK turned into an MC and broadcasted the match, which heated up the competition even more. JUNKYU achieved a dominant victory by winning two games in a row. He presented an aegyo ceremony while watching the camera.
The final game was the board game, ‘Halli Galli’, which the players need both speed and senses. JUNKYU and HARUTO made determined looks while mixing cards, while CHOI HYUN SUK presented fierce reactions after turning into a referee. JUNKYU took the card and seemed as if he were to win, but HARUTO successfully turned the tables and took the final win.
TREASURE is YG’s major rookie boy group being presented in 5 years since iKON. They were formed through the survival program ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ and is highly anticipated by the global fans as the biggest rookies of K-Pop in 2020, while their debut is just around the corner.

TREASURE to Debut on August 7… ‘YG’s TREASURE BOX’ Being Presented in 4 Years Since BLACKPINK

[텐아시아=우빈 기자] Group TREASURE has confirmed their official debut to be on August 7.
TREASURE is a rookie group being presented in 4 years by YG Entertainment(hereby YG) since BLACKPINK and is a boy group with the biggest number of members among all artist groups in 24 years of YG history, with 12 members. The 12 members were selected through the survival program ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, aired from November 2018 until January 2019.
YG has revealed the concept video and debut poster containing TREASURE’s world through their official blog on July 20 at 9 AM.
The message containing TREASURE’s determination targeting the global market, shown through the concept video, impressed the viewers. With the narration, “There are discoveries to be made in everyday life”, innovational events and findings which have contributed to the development of mankind became motifs and got connected to TREASURE’s identity. It followed up to the narration, “This one step will change everything”, and at the end of the clip, the light composed by 12 members spread out to cover up the entire earth.
With the narration, “This will is going to shake the world / We call this THE TREASURE EFFECT”, their scheduled debut date ‘August 7, 2020’ was displayed in the end, raising the expectations of global fans.
The global music industry is paying keen attention to TREASURE, who are yet to make official debut. The hashtag, #MakeWayForTREASURE, became a global trend on Twitter as soon as TREASURE’s debut coming soon poster was revealed on the 13th. In addition, TREASURE was also listed on the Hot Trending list of Weibo, which is China’s biggest online community.

Furthermore, TREASURE became the fastest K-Pop rookie group to enter US Billboard’s ‘Social 50’ chart, which they’ve entered as no. 19. TREASURE’s YouTube channel already has 1.23 million subscribers, and their video contents have collected a total of over 100 million accumulated views.
The live broadcast held by all 12 members to celebrate the release of BANG YE DAM’s ‘WAYO’ was watched by approximately 950 thousand viewers, which is an unprecedented figure for a rookie group.
The kind of music and performances TREASURE will present to capture the hearts of global music fans are still in veil, but it is clear that YG is preparing a major project to target the global market.
Related officials of YG have explained, “TREASURE’s debut MV used the biggest production budget among all rookies” and added, “The support will continue to help the group present high-quality outcomes which can be presented to the world with confidence”.
