#3. Airport Hyunlix Reunion

Okay, there is really so much to say about this day. But if you want my true honest reason for having this on the Honorable Mentions, it’s because this felt like such a community driven thing that I was somewhat actually a part of.

Call me delulu all you want, this whole thing started when Hyunjin asked STAY what he should wear to the airport by making an assload of polls for fans to vote on every aspect of his outfit. And I’m sorry, the timing of it being JUST SO COINCIDENTALLY when he’s going to just be there alone with Felix is not lost on me.





There is no reason Hyunjin should need us to pick out his outfit for him because he knows what STAY like to see him in. And they would love whatever he wore. But it all legit felt like he was nervous for a date with him coming online at the last hour before he left to ask his fans what he should wear, like we’re his besties getting him ready to go out. And that is exactly what most Hyunlixers took it as, and so, to be honest, I was more excited about seeing Hyunjin’s outfit than anything else. And we got him cleaned up real nice, it was AMAZING~

So I ended up not being around the entire time. Once it was clear that Felix was gonna be arriving late, I went to bed because it was already 5 AM my time, which was WAAAAY later than I even expected to be up. But in that time, it seemed like most Hyunlixers were really upset, thinking we weren’t going to get any airport Hyunlix at all. The Dispatch Unnie was disappointed and I don’t even think she ever saw them together. But everyone still held their heads up high throughout. Dispatch Unnie promised to edit the video to make it look like they came together and SHE ACTUALLY DID and made us a Dispatch Thumbnail as if they had arrived together. She is TRULY Hyunlix’s strongest warrior.

And then, after ALL of that, we finally got fansites who were able to photograph Hyunjin and Felix together after what felt like ages.

It just felt like an emotional rollercoaster ride of having fun with Hyunjin to the disappointment that Felix was arriving later, to super disappointment when people thought they wouldn’t find each other at all. I think some people even thought for a moment they had separate flights. And this all happened last minute, mind you. Even Dispatch thought they would be together, and Dispatch was the only one who knew they had schedules in the first place. And then it was like there was a collective burst into joy when we saw a single photo of them together. Then the videos came of their super cute bathroom reunion, and it felt like even non-Hyunlixers were celebrating them reuniting.

So a LARGE part of why this day has a special place in my heart doesn’t even have to do with the actual reunion as much as it felt like every Hyunlixer in the world came together to play matchmaker, cry, punch the air, and then rejoice in a span of like 8 hours. It was crazy and though I wasn’t there for all of it, it was still very memorable for me.

Now I should probably talk about the actual reunion itself because that were pretty cute, too.

For starters, Hyunjin really did not have to go back to get Felix. He could have waited for Felix to just come meet him at the gate. But not only did Hyunjin go all the way back to meet him, he started out by waiting for Felix outside the bathroom and then the next thing we know, he’s going in to get Felix as though he can’t wait any longer. And it was probably partially because they were cutting it really close for this flight, but I can’t get over the thought that Hyunjin was waiting for Felix that whole time (an hour) and even though it would have made way more sense to wait at the gate, he decided to go back so they could go together.



And the reunion itself giving K-Drama scene??? THE most adorable Hyunjin peeking his head around the staff (who smiles as soon as he sees Hyunjin, by the way, as if that isn’t the most telling thing in the universe) to look at Felix who I JUST NOTICED ALSO LOOKS AROUND THE STAFF AS SOON AS HE SEES HYUNJIN.



They’re both peeking around this guy and Felix smiles immediately and these two go from looking stressed about this flight to smiling and chatting together and they just look so, so happy to have reunited.



WE WERE SO FXXKING DRAMATIC ABOUT IT, TOO. THEIR REUNION TRENDED!

It was SUCH a crazy day, probably way more crazy for them than for us, but it just has to be here. It was an iconic day~ ​

#2. Rehearsal Hyunlix

So, originally I was just gonna include the rehearsal in Sydney here, but I feel like I might as well throw in the one from Melbourne, too, because why not?



OK, so despite the fact that these are like 20 seconds of potato quality footage and I haven’t got a shred of an idea about what’s going on, these are at #2 for the very simple fact that these really just validate all the K-Hwangpillers who are constantly talking about how Hyunlix are always super close and super flirty with each other off-camera when no one is around to record it.

I 100% believe all those fanaccounts from the Chk Chk Boom promotions when the unnies said they saw Hyunjin so close to Felix that they thought they were gonna kiss, following each other around, slapping asses, Felix holding Hyunjin’s waist. Yeah, 100% believe it all. I don’t need to see a thing at this point.

Like I said, obviously we can’t really tell what’s happening here outside of the fact that they keep touching each others’ necks, chest, Hyunjin looks like he’s playing with Felix’s hair and necklace. BUT LIKE WHY?



Like the usual amount of touchiness we get these days is their hands glued to each other’s ass. This rehearsal stuff is like the shenanigans they used to get up to back in the day or how they act at the airport when they don’t know someone is recording them. They're GLUED TOGETHER~

Actually, the one from Melbourne might be even worse despite being the shortest???



At first I thought they were all moving to another part of the stage and Hyunjin just wanted to walk together with Felix (MMKAY) , but I noticed while typing this that Changbin takes out his phone mid-bow, so I think they’re finished whatever they’re doing here.
SO HOW CLINGY IS BRO THAT THE FXXKING SECOND THEY FINISH WHATEVER THEY’RE DOING, HE’S GOING RIGHT OVER BY FELIX TO GET HIM???

This when so many people insist they’re “not close like they used to be” when it feels like they’re clingy as fxxk off camera. WTF is this???

And it’s like what else do you even need to see at this point? If Hyunlix no es real, I can’t fxxking tell. They’re doing their damndest to convince me at every chance they get. So this shit HAD to make honorable mentions~​

#1. Bbok-crack in Melbourne

YESSSSIIIIIRRRR IT’S HEEEEERRRR



OK, I really didn’t expect this moment to attack me as much as it did but it just DID, OKAY?

It’s the combination of Hyunjin, who was just dancing by himself and wasn’t even paying attention to Felix until Felix spoke and Bbok-cracked, and while the other members aren’t even really paying attention even after the fact, Hyunjin cackles immediately and Felix is giving his Bbok-crack face (I swear he makes the same expression every time his voice cracks, he did it at Lollapalooza, too)

And it’s just the way their first reaction was to look at each other when this happens. Like they were right next to each other, so yeah, your first thought is probably that at least Hyunjin would look at Felix because Felix is the one who just drew attention to himself, but the way Felix looks back at Hyunjin like they're just having a laugh together, it feels like this is something that happens often AND IT'S THE CUTEST THING EVER, I CAN’T EVEN EXPLAIN IT~ ​

THEY JUST LOOK AT EACH OTHER AND LAUGH AND EMBRACE EACH OTHER AND HYUNJIN LAUGHS SO HARD, HE’S ABOUT TO PULL FELIX OVER. IT’S MAGNIFICENT.

And then you’re telling me Hyunjin keeps moving around all these people to follow Felix off the stage?? You’re KILLING ME, THEY’RE SO BOYFRIENDS.

#3. Hyunlix Hyunlixing at the AMAs

This should come as a surprise to absolutely no one. The AMAs had me yapping about it for weeks after the fact despite it being one of the first big events of the month and I WILL CONTINUE TO YAP ABOUT IT BECAUSE WHAT EVEN WAS THAT DAY???

I guess I feel like the biggest reason it all took me off guard was because everything was prerecorded. So here I am thinking they just went there, recorded their performance, probably did a few interviews and took a group photo or two, and went on back to Korea. This was literally the day after the Singapore concert IIRC, so I’m still fangasming over all of that stuff while they’re in the USA recording.

Little would we find out until days after the fact that Hyunlix had been going CRAZY overseas.

It’s also just the way it all happened, it was like everything was slowly building up into a crescendo that entire Sunday.

I mean we started out getting this as a blurry ass pic and were legit thinking this was probably all we were gonna get.

Then a few hours later and we’re bombarded by Hyunjin just deciding Felix’s shoulder belongs to him (we know it already did but STILL) for like 5 photos???

Which those trickled out throughout the day. So again, it felt like every hour we were getting new video, new photos, photos that were now HQs, etc, every time you refreshed. It’s like….does your arm NEED to be there that whole time?? For EVERY photo?? And Hyunjin clearly said “where else would I put it”?? Which OKAY KING, don’t need to tell me twice. So we’re thinking THAT was gonna be the peak of the evening. Hyunlix went overseas and they had to take as many pics as possible together like they pretty much always do.

Well, Hyunlix really said we ain’t seen nothing yet because WTF was the performance????? We expected Bye Bye Bye but I don’t think anyone expected the Chk Chk Boom mashup. The Danceracha solo dances were crazy enough but the whole stage was just incredible. And because of the way the stage is set up, I kid you not, I wasn’t even thinking about the Ma Amigo part. I assumed they would be on different parts of the stage for it and they would just kinda skip over it.

BUT THEY HAD THE ACTUAL AUDACITY NOT JUST TO KEEP IT, BUT TO HAVE THEM FRONT AND CENTER ON MY TV SCREEN??????

When tell you I screamed when Hyunlix popped up on my TV screen for their Ma Amigo, wearing the most similar looking couple jackets despite being different brands. Which ONLY they had on (theirs had white sleeves, everyone else had on black sleeves and I refuse to believe that’s a coincidence).

I was OUTDONE. I THOUGHT IT WAS OVER BUT THEY HAD MORE FOR ME. AND THAT WASN’T EVEN THE END BECAUSE THEN WE GOT THE GETTY IMAGES PHOTO???

AND A FANCAM FROM THEIR PART, TOO??



Bro, I. was. FLABBERGASTED. And it’s even more amazing because they didn’t have to choreograph the stage like that. Like I said, they could have just skipped the Ma Amigo altogether, because they didn’t do their high five or anything that you would think would make it “worth” not just skipping as a focal point.

But they had Hyunlix FRONT AND CENTER FOR THIS. IT WAS THAT IMPORTANT TO INCLUDE. IN COUPLE JACKETS. WITH HYUNJIN’S ARM ON FELIX’S SHOULDER.
THEY DID THIS ALL FOR HYUNLIX NATION AND I THANK THEM IN 100 LANGUAGES FOR IT. I COULD YAP ABOUT IT ALL DAY, I COULD SAY SO MUCH MORE, BUT I’D JUST BE REPEATING MYSELF OVER AND OVER. EASIEST TOP 3 MOMENT OF THE MONTH IN MY LIFE. THE OVERSEAS HYUNLIX BOYFRIENDS OF ALL TIME

#2. Arcane/Come Play Hyunlixing



I know it’s two videos but consider them as the same moment for the sake of this

So I think it’s probably beyond obvious how much I loved this moment for multiple different reasons. For starters, it’s pretty unhinged. This is almost two minutes straight of Hyunjin having his hands on Felix’s shoulders for pretty much no real reason other than just wanting to, I guess.

Like it feels like Hyunjin wanted to be touching Felix in some way and not only for a few seconds like the other members were doing, so he kinda teased Felix as an excuse to just get his hands there at all and then he just never took them off.

ALSO WE CAN'T SKIP HYUNLIX HOLDING HANDS WHEN THAT HAPPENED BECAUSE HE GOT ALL THE OTHER MEMBERS STARTING TO TEASE FELIX, TOO, AND HYUNJIN WANTED TO THE THE LAST PERSON WHO FELIX TOUCHED SO BAD

PLEASE WHEN FELIX WAS SEARCHING FOR HYUNJIN'S OTHER HAND, I'M WEEPING

And now that everyone's done teasing Felix, Hyunjin never takes his hand off

LOOK @ THEM PLAYING AROUND LIKE THIS, IT'S SO PRECIOUS THEY'RE SO PURE

Hyunjin moves his hands for a short time when it’s his turn to talk but he doesn’t even leave them off the whole time because there’s a cut and then one of his hands ends up back on Felix. I’m really curious what happens during the cut because why was there a need to cut between him reading?

Regardless, from then on, Hyunjin does not remove his hands. So much so that he does not even do the Step Out farewell at the end. And this whole time they’re really just being so cute and playing around. Hyunjin keeps rocking Felix like a rag doll and Felix is laughing about it and playing along and smiling the whole time. IT’S JUST SO CUTE UGH.

And that’s only in the first video.



In the second one, he is so determined to keep his hands on Felix’s shoulders, he does “Step Out” on Felix’s shoulders and still leaves them there for 41 whole seconds.





And look at how softly and gently Hyunjin is playing with Felix’s clothes/hair and it’s SO ADORABLE. It feels like they’re a couple here who just wanna flirt a bit.



And I said this before, but it’s also partially a little sad for me because every so often, Hyunjin’s eyes will dart around the room like he’s expecting someone at any second to tell him to stop touching Felix as much as he is.

In both videos he does this

And considering past moments where he’s looked like he wanted to touch Felix or hold his hand but stopped himself, I hate to see him refrain from skinshipping if that’s what he wants to do. Even now, I don’t see any other reason why he would keep looking around the room like that and, if that is the case, it kinda saddens me if he still has to worry about that.






So it’s almost like there’s two different ways I view this moment. On one hand, Hyunjin is being low-key, high-key possessive and really just owning Felix like he tends to do at times.

But on the other hand, maybe Hyunjin just wanted a chance to skinship with Felix on camera in a way that wouldn’t be edited out. I mean this is a segment that they all talk in and these two are in the middle, they can’t just cut or edit them out of the video.

So it just kinda feels to me that this was a pretty safe opportunity to at least try to be able to have a bit of skinship on camera and I’m happy they ended up having this little cute moment So TOTES one of my favorites from this month~​

#1. Soundcheck Hyunlix in Sydney

It was very, very tough to pick, but my #1 favorite moment from October had to be Soundcheck in Sydney Hyunlix!

Specifically this moment here



I feel like it’s not clear outright exactly why I like this moment so much, but the main reason is because of the smallest and simplest fact that Hyunjin walks over to stand by Felix and Felix moves for him to stand there.

I’m sorry if you were expecting something more grand, but that’s really it.

In a sea of critiques from people who, for whatever reason, still think Hyunlix don’t ever wanna be around each other or specifically go out of their way not to stand near each other, not only did Hyunjin walk all the way over from where he was to specifically go stand next to Felix, Felix knew he was going to stand next to him, because he moved to the side so Hyunjin would have space to stand there. Hyunjin could have stood by anyone, he could have kept walking down further. But both of them knew he was going to stand there.

And like I said, I don’t know whether Hyunjin was already there before whoever filmed the fancam started recording and maybe he was going back to where he already was, but it really doesn’t matter one way or the other. It’s just that he chose to stand there in this moment.

But even from there, it’s made even more apparent that he was purposefully going by Felix because the first thing both of them do is face each other, then swap their mic hands to pat each other.



I said before, I frankly think Hyunjin was trying to hold Felix’s hand. It looks like that’s what he was trying to do and he very briefly does hold Felix’s wrist, but I think Felix was just going to pat Hyunjin’s ass so when Felix’s hand kept going, Hyunjin also kept going to also pat Felix’s ass.

And I further think I’m correct because after this, Felix pats Hyunjin on the back, like maybe acknowledging he missed the potential handhold that was being aimed for but either way, they were trying to keep each other warm during a lot of soundcheck so that really could be all they’re doing here. It just feels so couple when they do things like this with each other, like it’s ALWAYS with each other.




Anyway, it is pretty much on brand for me to make my favorite thing something that probably seems insignificant but I just love this moment so much.

Hyunlix wanted to stand together, and their first thought when they’re side-by-side is to have this ass pat greeting and then to try to keep each other warm because it was cold out.

It’s not that this couldn’t happen with them and other members, but they did with each other. It’s just such a cute, small thing seeing them sticking together so much to keep each other warm.





They really lingered around each other a lot during this soundcheck. And to top it off, this happened in their home country, so maybe they were in an extra good mood.
It was so adorable to see and that’s why I ended up picking it as my favorite moment from the month! ​

Starting things off with the field day?

I'm not surprised since the field day was so amazing!

Hyunlix on the same team for the first time in years? And then they act like that? So supportive of every minor action? Hyunjin not waiting two seconds before grabbing some water for Felix? It was great

The seasons greetings pictures were amazing! As a color theory professor, I still can't believe they had the two red bois side by side when it would have been so much more cohesive to space them apart

The unexpected Hyunlix moments are always so special

Hyunjin stalking Felix to reunite with him outside the toilet will now forever be iconic.

OP, I swear you always have such amazing Hyunlix interactions. Watching mi amigo on screen and then helping Hyunjin put together his date outfit at 5 am.

The behind the scenes of the concert rehearsal is another great choice Its so nice seeing Hyunlix being touchy and goofy because no one can argue that's fanservice since most people aren't gonna see it.

So it's super special for any Hyunlixers who get to see it!

AMAs certainly deserves it's number 3 spot The pictures, jackets, the mi amigo; everything was a full course Hyunlix meal It was also so memorable since everything was happening in real time in the lead up to the great show.

I'm no universe surprised to see the shoulder claiming of a couple of weeks ago as #2. As a fellow unhinged Hyunjin supporter, these videos always make me lose my mind! Its really the fact that he was so needy for no reason, hands glued in one spot, and seconds away from pouting if Felix didn't give into his nonsense

Because like last year for a very brief time, they were being sent death threats by akgaes for being too close friends and you know their akgaes hate each other So the company tried not to have them as close to each other on camera as much as they usually were. And despite the fact that that hasn't been the case for the entirety of this year, basically, some people took that short time period of them not interacting much on camera to think that means they were no longer close friends for whatever reason As if they didn't know why they were not interacting on camera much in the first place. It never had to do with them not being close, it was so akgaes wouldn't do something stupid.

Fans had even asked Bang Chan about this in a live, I think, and Bang Chan said himself they were still very close, so I really don't know why this myth has been perpetuated for so long in the first place

But even then, they still interacted. I mean, there's been plenty of interactions between them every single year that this group has existed. But they also take the fact that they don't get Tik Tok challenges together anymore, or photoshoots, or do Tik Tok lives like they did back in 2022 and I guess they also think that means they just don't want to do any of those things together because they don't like each other

Or the fact that they aren't roommates, which I don't even see why people care so much about who is who's roommate when these people live 3 minutes away from each other and probably spend more time out of their rooms than in them. It's partially why I think Hyunjin will sometimes bring up Felix unprompted in lives because people think they're not close and he just has to be like "Yeah, me and Felix have been running together lately" or "We have a spot that we go to just to hangout" that he mentioned in OKR. I mean, I would, too if these people just keep believing nonsense. But I guess if they don't stand/sit next to each other in every frickin photo the group takes, they much hate each other

I mean, even if we look back over the last couple of months, it feels like they just keep upping their Hyunlixing and I'm scared the whole list is gonna be stuff from the end of the year as if the start of the year wasn't also super based (even though this thread didn't exist then)

We will have to really go back and look through the entire year to pick out a good selection of moments.

I’m really not sure about 12 or God forbid more if we start talking about honorable mentions.

I might have to kill myself but I'm considering maybe just doing a Top 5

I feel like 3 is too few but 12 is probably way too many, even though I always do Honorable Mentions as though they're effectively limitless so I can cheat in more moments So you could end up just doing 12 total things based on your honorable mentions~
