Hyunjin really hasn't mentioned trimming his hair in a while, so I really do think it probably is the end of the Kiwi era~ Coconutjin is on the horizon, methinks~

Anyway, this random photo of the Fanmeeting does sorta transition into something I wanted to yap about last night, but I was running short on time. Sooooo, gonna do that now~

So I was thinking about the Kakaotalk Message Hyunjin said he sent to Felix on D-3 after the car accident.



Which I already yap about to an unhealthy degree so I really don't know how you could have forgotten what he said, but just in case



I like to post it a few times, but the general gist is still the same~ Though the common thing regardless of any of these translations is that it's relatively vague as to when Hyunjin messaged Felix~



All we really know is that it was sometime before he performed Unfair, based on his wording. And I always assumed it was probably right before he physically performed the song because he said "I messaged Felix...and I performed with that mindset." So you generally assume that it was some time before he performed the song if he said he had that mindset while he was performing. Like "I said this to him, and that's why I performed like I did."

But he never really said it was DIRECTLY before he performed, so it could have been before the Fanmeeting even started honestly speaking. Or before the solos started as a whole.

It doesn't really matter as far as what I was thinking about, I just wanted to clarify that detail before I get into it since he never actually specified when the message was sent and I don't want to make it seem like I definitively knew when he sent it.

EITHER WAY, it honestly just occurred to me suddenly, but I was really just wondering about the fact that Hyunjin sent such a deep and personal message to Felix by Kakaotalk in the first place. Because this really seemed like something you'd probably want to say in person, doesn't it?

Assuming for a moment that factually, regardless of exactly when, Hyunjin sent this message to Felix during the Fanmeeting at some point, I guess I just got to thinking that it's possible that Hyunjin and Felix didn't have much time to talk between Felix's accident and the Fanmeeting. Like I said, this just seems like something really profound and I can't imagine it's something Hyunjin wouldn't have preferred to say in person if he could have?

Soooo making a lot of assumptions here about stuff that's really not my business in the first place, and they have no obligation to ever clarify any of this Just wanna make that clear~ But I can't help but think about this possibility. From what was said on the official account, the accident seemed to have occurred really late at night, near midnight? It was to the point that they had to take Felix to several hospitals to get a proper diagnosis.

There's also no implication that Felix was in the car with any other members, which is interesting to me?? I always thought the kids traveled in groups, so it's odd that the only person mentioned being in an accident at all was Felix. It's really neither here nor there, I'm honestly just saying it to say that IDK what the other members were doing at the time. Whether they were awake or asleep, etc. We have no idea when any of them found out about it (though I can't imagine they didn't tell everyone about it right away), even if they probably couldn't go to see him or speak to him immediately (but again, we have no way to know if they did or didn't).

We know they spoke to him at some point before the Fanmeeting because they knew he was watching that night. And I'm sure information was relayed back and forth throughout the day, so as far as Hyunjin specifically, I'm sure he must have talked to Felix before the Fanmeeting. I STRONGLY doubt the very first conversation he had with Felix after the accident was this ballistic Kakaotalk about taking away his unfair life

Which is what makes the fact that he sent the message that much more crazy to me???? Because like I said, it comes across as something you'd say in-person. Which has me thinking two things. Either Hyunjin very literally did not have a chance to communicate this to Felix prior to the Fanmeeting and felt compelled to do it before he performed Felix's song, or this was something that weighed so heavily on Hyunjin that he didn't want to wait until the Fanmeeting was over to tell Felix in-person, and decided to do it at the time that he did.

The first scenario is kinda the more sad of the two (and least likely IMO)?? I mean, I really would like to believe Felix had a chance to talk to the members between his accident and the Fanmeet, and he probably did~ Like surely he did, right? But maybe he wasn't able to talk to them one-on-one? Maybe this whole thought hadn't even occurred yet to Hyunjin in the first place and he didn't even consider it until around the time that he sent it?? Like maybe I'm the one overthinking it and Hyunjin didn't see that big of a deal in sending it to Felix this way, but I just can't help but feel like such a deep and personal message like that was probably not originally conceived as something to be sent as a text message (unless it actually only occurred to Hyunjin to say it at the time that he sent it).

Because we know so much of Hyunjin and Felix's deep conversations are things they say to each other in-person. I can't think of any particularly insane statement Hyunjin or Felix have talked about saying to each other and it ended up being something they just texted. It would be them talking for four hours in a hotel room, or stuff they may just happen to say on camera like the 2KR Confession, but they haven't really implied any of their deep talks are through texts. So I'm just kinda assuming hard here, but it's not with no basis. I do feel like this was something Hyunjin would have probably wanted to say in person????

Which is why the second scenario is the more unhinged of the two if we assume this was a thought that didn't just spawn in at the time Hyunjin sent it. Because it would mean that this was something Hyunjin could have waited to tell Felix in-person if he wanted to but he really just wanted Felix to know in that moment so he just sent it as a Kakaotalk message instead.

The only other possibility I can think of is if Hyunjin just very literally wanted Felix to know what mindset he had when performing Unfair and that's why he could have possibly sent the message right before he performed (if that is when he sent it) so Felix would know while he was watching. But this still assumes Hyunjin sent it like directly before performing. Like in the scenario that he just sent it in general before the Fanmeeting started or just earlier than his performance, then it would still stand to reason in my head that even though this is something that these two would probably talk about in-person, maybe it was so important for Hyunjin to communicate this to Felix that he didn't want to wait.

I know I'm thinking about this WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY more deeply than I'm sure Hyunjin himself did LMAO And there's like an infinate number of scenarios that could explain all of the pieces that I'm just speculating about because we don't even know the exact basis of when the message was sent. Much less if the reason it was sent was because Hyunjin may have wanted to say it earlier (maybe on the phone) but he didn't have a chance to. Or he was willing to wait until later but chose not to because he just reeeeaaallllyyy wanted Felix to know how he was feeling at the time.

I just think about that message all the time, man, it's SOOOOO FXXKING crazy to see that clip and think these two are nothing more than platonic friends. Like they clearly are more than that. So it even stands more to reason that you'd think Hyunjin would probably say something like this in-person. I mean, even if he had called Felix and said it, it would have made sense, I feel like?? It just seems like, regardless of when, he'd want Felix to hear it, not just read it.

Unless Hyunjin was legit too fxxking shy to say it out loud and that's why he sent it as a text But I have a hard time believing that when he fxxking shared this story in the first place?????

He very literally did not have to say ANY of this at all. He could have kept this message and the details of what he said as something personal between himself and Felix. The fact that he shared it at all implies to me he wasn't shy about what he said if you're telling THOUSANDS of people about it.

And basically confessing to the whole universe that you love Felix, then SHARING the details of the message that you sent, then ASKING FELIX DIRECTLY IF HE'S WATCHING and CONTINUING to talk to him from there by saying to just live like "Life is So Good" if you're shy about this whole thing?????



NONE of this was necessary to either do or share and it's why I honestly have always believed this was something Hyunjin just really decided to do in the moment. Especially him pointing at the camera. I have always thought there's no way he woke up that morning planning to do that. I think he probably became more emotional right before he was about to perform and this all probably came on him at once. He even mentioned how he performed with no regrets and everything. It seemed like this entire love declaration was something he probably would have regretted both not doing and maybe even not sharing.

It really does seem that Felix's accident had a very big impact on Hyunjin in general, but probably even more because it really does seem like Unfair is something he personally cherishes and views as a way to connect emotionally with Felix. And with Felix not being there, because of an accident no less, it probably made it even more emotional for Hyunjin because maybe it's like "I can't fully emotionally connect with him the way I wanted to because he's not here" or something to that effect. And the whole thing was very literally unfair, like the fact that a car accident would even happen like that when it did was probably devastating in itself. And even more so just knowing the relationship and love these two have for each other and how much Hyunjin looks out for and takes care of Felix, I can absolutely see a situation where Hyunjin just really wanted every fxxking person who was watching to know how much he loves Felix without worrying about how people would react to it because he simply wouldn't have another chance like this after that day.

In fact, this was the last time Unfair was even performed. It hasn't been performed since. And for this to be such a special song to him and probably knowing this was gonna be the last time he would be performing Felix's song, trying to connect emotionally and immerse himself in the song itself, I can see why he wouldn't have wanted to have any regrets about it. If there was ever a time to not sing, but point to the camera to acknowledge Felix while singing "How much I love you so," it was then. If there was a ever a time to say to thousands of people, "I sent Felix a Kakaotalk and I told him I will take your Unfair, I will take away the unfairness in your life," and clarify it as the mindset you had while performing, that was the time. He really would never have had such an opportunity to make his feelings for Felix clear and I will never get over the fact that he took it without any fear and without any regrets. Like even without knowing any of when or how or why Hyunjin wasn't able to or chose not to leave this as something he told Felix in-person, the fact remains that he absolutely wanted to make his feelings clear not just to the fans, but Felix himself.

I mean I haven't even TOUCHED on how TF Felix must have felt receiving that message, watching that performance, listening to Hyunjin call him out at the ment like CAN Y'ALL EVEN IMAGINE how fxxking overwhelming all of that probably was???? Imagine you're just sitting there, waiting and expecting to see your boyfie singing your song for the last time, dressed in your outfit. Maybe he's a little extra emotional but you get this Kakaotalk out of nowhere of the most romantic confession humankind has ever seen bar YOUR OWN "When I think about you I feel like I have another reason to live". He tells you that he will personally take the unfairness in your life and who even knows if you have a chance to call him after reading that, depending on when he sent it. Your ass might just be screwed if it's too close to the performance and you have to wait to deal with him later.

Then you see him stop singing and point to the camera AT YOU while the line "I wanted you to know how much I love you so" is playing (with both of your voices in the backtrack as a duet BTW). And THEN he has the unmitigated gall to announce the message he sent to EVERYONE and then POINT AT THE CAMERA AGAIN and drop a "Are you watching well? You just live your Life is So Good" like bi+ch I would have COMBUSTED Are you watching well???? After you just declared to the fxxking universe "I wanted you to know how much I love you so," "I will take away the unfairness in your life, you just live like Life is So Good" "I performed with no regrets"????????????????????

Hayunjin summoned up all of the cojones in his soul to say all of this and then expecting Felix to just react to that like a normal person???? Absolutely diabolical in the most romantic way possible, it's UNHINGED

I know I went ALLLLLLL over the place with this and I honestly could go on for longer. I didn't even come up with any real conclusion, either. But sometimes, I don't expect to anyway. Especially when there's already so much about this specific moment that we don't know about. Sometimes I like to just throw things out there to the void and hope at least one of the lurkers gets me on a spiritual level about Hyunfair and how it is the single most definitive Hyunlix es Real moment we have EVER experienced and will probably ever experience like it WILL NOT EVER get any more real than this

But I have been typing for like two hours and I have to get up in four. Maybe I will touch more upon this tomorrow, but for now, I will just further marinate on this and see if I come any closer to...something.
