OK, so it's time to talk about THAT MOMENT actually, because I have a LOT I wanna say about it. I have legit not stopped watching that clip since yesterday and I really don't know if I will ever be able to

BUT I really am the most interested in just how come they ended up getting so lost in that moment suddenly But you know me, I can't talk about something like that without doing a full analysis so we're going to start from the first time Hyunlix started doing this water thing

And I don't mean the first time they poured water on each other in general, because that was back in Singapore but we don't need to go that far.

The first time they started doing it together was in Bulacan.



I'm not sure if Hyunjin thought to do this himself first or if some of the other kids had done this before and he was just joining in (I feel like it wasn't, though, because I.N looked super surprised ), but either way, he gets the idea to go throw water on himself and Felix.

And you can see he's plotting from the beginning like he is smiling down on his way over to Felix

We've already talked quite a bit about what makes this all so crazy. Hyunjin just manhandling Felix who has no idea what Hyunjin is about to do but he just goes along with it anyway. He later said in their live that he thought Hyunjin wanted to hug him which I still found odd because I thought it was quite obvious Hyunjin was holding a water bottle and was probably going to use it for something nefarious Buuuuut in fairness, this all happened so fast. Felix is trying to get a hug and the next thing he knows, he's soaked.



But in any case, Hyunjin pours the water mostly on his own head, yet Felix doesn't move away. He actually seems like he's trying to stay close to Hyunjin, like he also wants to get wet too It's just really cute and they look so happy, I still love this moment so much I cannot get enough of 3Seconds' photos of this moment!

Like it was just so RANDOM??? Up until now, Hyunjin was sprinkling water on Felix when he wasn't looking and skipping away like he has a massive crush on him. It was really kinda sudden that he chose to do this, assuming he was the first one to do it. I can't pretend I see clips from the concert that don't concern either one of these two often, so I have no idea if this was truly the first time the kids started doing this. Since then, I've really only seen Han and Hyunjin's wife pour water on both of them, but it's entirely possible more have done it and I just haven't seen it.

But regardless, ever since this time, they have done this at several other concerts and IDK it just feels like it's really special for the two of them for some reason. Not necessarily in the same vein as the Thunderous Hand Tickle but kinda like it's own thing that they just keep doing with each other.

And I'm not even sure if I've seen them do it with other members? I know they both throw water on other members (seems like Seungmin mainly ), but IDK if they've done it together like this? I follow plenty of Hwanger and Pixie Fansites who usually capture any interactions they have with anyone, but I really haven't seen any of them capture a moment where they're pouring water on themselves and one of the other kids like this. It's possible it's happened, but I don't remember seeing it. But Hyunlix have done it with each other multiple times by now, like it's just kinda a new thing you just kinda expect to see now??

Also, the other members' reactions will be a bit of a running theme here, because they're always so intriguing.



I.N looks like he expected Hyunjin was just going to pour water on Felix and is baffled that he poured it on both of them while Seungmin's just laughing the whole time. But IDK, something about I.N's reaction specifically is so interesting. He kinda laughs when he sees Hyunjin approaching Felix like he's already expecting some kinda prank or something. It just reminds me of Lollapalooza when Hyunjin said he assumed Felix was the one who threw water on him and makes me think they really do prank each other a ton. It's like he knows some specific genre of shenanigans are about to go down because it's these two involved buuuut I could just be talking out of my ass.

In any case, the next time we saw this happen was when Felix effectively got his revenge a week later on Macau D-1.



Which, I say "effectively" because Hyunjin really just let Felix do this. I mean Felix is just bouncing around this one spot with this huge ass smile on his face while Hyunjin's more or less running in circles. It was obvious Felix was waiting for Hyunjin to walk past him so he could pour water on him, so Hyunjin pretty much just chooses to let it happen and not avoid it.

As with the first time, Felix mostly pours the water on himself than Hyunjin but they just both look so happy when they do this. I can't get over it

They both look like this one thing just makes their whole entire day

And again, here you can see Changbin in the back cuz they were both throwing water on him, too, but as soon as he sees Felix catch Hyunjin, he just kinda bounces off like IDK the members sometimes give the vibe that they're scared of what Hyunlix are about to do The first time, Seungmin just kinda dips before it's really over, and here Changbin does. Maybe it's a coincidence but it's lowkey giving "I don't wanna be around when shit hits the fan"

That saaiiiddd, the third time this happened was in Bangkok which was just super iconic for multiple reasons.

For one, this is when we start to notice something that I guess really resonated with Hyunjin was the fact that Hyunjin said he didn't really get wet because of his hat the first time and Felix said he was the only one who got wet.



And it seems like from this point on, if Hyunjin is wearing a hat when they do this, he'll take it off to make sure he also gets wet. IDK, something about that feels like romantic or something?? Like it's not just about the water shenanigans but them experiencing it together because it's not like he has to take off his hat at all. He just chooses to.



We got all the basic beats here. Hyunjin manhandling Felix, doesn't even him a chance to register what's happening. Felix just letting Hyunjin do whatever he wants with him, expected. But before Hyunjin even approaches Felix with his giddy ass facial expression, he takes his hat off and throws it on the ground.

Which I mean Y'ALL, it's like, this is an important moment for them or something. Hyunjin is just determined to make sure he also gets wet to the point that he doesn't even care about, IDK, just holding onto his hat or putting it on the side of the stage, he just throws it on the ground like he couldn't care less what happens to it. He just wants to get wet with the boyfie.

Second reason this day was iconic is because you can see this is the first time they both do this to each other. Because after Hyunjin splashes Felix, they kinda do this awkward walking around thing where BOTH OF THEM KNOW GOOD AND DAMN WELL Felix wants to throw water on Hayunjin. Hyunjin's really just standing there like I think he's really just waiting for Felix to do it. While Felix is like "should I do it, should I wait" until he basically just asks Hyunjin if he can do it and Hyunjin agrees immediately and they do the water thing. But again, it's still just so HORRIFYING how happy they are during this all, they love this water moment so much~ There is something about this particular water thing that they seem to really just enjoy doing together.

Now there's a DISPICABLE amount of cuteness that happens in the rest of that clip but I am FORCING myself to move on or else I will never finish this post, so we have to get to Hong Kong D-2



So the way this all goes down is that Felix sneaks up on Hyunjin to try to pour water on him while he's not looking. But I think he was fixing his in-ear and lost his timing, so Hyunjin is actually about to get up and move and Felix legit starts his little angy pout face when he's been caught And I guess Felix thinks he's just not going to be able to do it anymore. But Hyunjin didn't even know Felix was there at all and as soon as he sees what he was trying to do, he stays there so Felix can pour the water on them. And the way he smiles bro, it's SOOOO BOYFRENS. It's like "Oh hey, it's you" or some shit And then he realizes Felix came all the way other there to prank him because he's just standing there looking sus as fxxk and Hyunjin is like "Okay, lets do it" and NEITHER of them say anything during this exchange which is even more heart wrenching. And of course Hyunjin has to quickly take his hat off first like UGH, this moment, man



So obviously we have to get to what makes this THE moment. Notice EVERY other time before this, if Hyunjin is pouring, he puts his arm around Felix, and Felix puts his arm around Hyunjin if he's pouring. But I guess since this one was so "unplanned" they just stood next to each other. I mean, Hyunjin really could have put his arm around Felix if he wanted to. Instead, he just leans against Felix, just their heads touching each other and it's EXTREMELY JUST SO FXXKING INSANE BECAUSE HE LITERALLY JUST LOOKS LIKE HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW OR CARE WHERE TF HE IS. There is not a single thought in his head about the fact that they're on stage in public right now, bro looks like he has physically, mentally, and spiritually checkedT out and only cares about the fact that he is with Felix.

LOOK @ THIS MAN AND TRY TO TELL ME HE GIVES A SINGLE SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING NOT RELATED TO FELIX RIGHT NOW HE DOES NOT, OKAY??



LOOK AT EVERY OTHER TIME THIS HAPPENED, Hyunjin is standing up tall, so much so that Felix has to get on his tippy toes to even pour the water. Even when they've leaned their heads close together, it was never to the point that Hyunjin basically gave up standing on his own. But he clearly is not here, because as soon as Felix moves, Hyunjin's body is still moving in the same direction as Felix. If Felix would not have moved, Hyunjin would have kept leaning against him, and it's just CRAZY every time you look at it. Because Felix is WELL done with the water and Hyunjin doesn't even pretend he wants to move. He legit is stuck in place until Felix reacts first.

But you know what's the WORST thing ever, is that Felix is CLEARLY aware that Hyunjin is having some kinda moment with him, because his reaction when he realizes Hyunjin is still leaning on him is to FXXKING GRAB THE BACK OF HIS HEAD AND SMASH THEIR FOREHEADS TOGETHER IN THE MOST AFFECTIONATE WAY EVER????



Again, look at EVERY past time this happened, usually Felix just gives Hyunjin a pat on the back or ass or arm or something like that. It's more like "thanks for being a good sport" energy. THIS was not something he just did by chance, he did it BECAUSE even though his eyes were closed, he felt that Hyunjin was still leaning on him even after he finished pouring the water. I think Felix was more than aware that Hyunjin didn't want to move and probably wasn't gonna move but they just can't stand there like that for long And that was kinda just his way of acknowledging the WHATEVER WAS GOING ON and that he was on the same page, so to speak.

LIKE IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN IT, BUT FELIX'S VIBE BASICALLY FEELS LIKE "YEAH, ME TOO"

And all I'm trying to figure out is WHAT is it about this moment in general that is so special? But also as well as, how did THIS one time become so different???

What made Hyunjin just kinda loose himself here? Why was it seemingly the case for both of them? Like in layman's terms, WHAT HAPPENED HERE?

And TBH, obviously these are all rhetorical questions, we can never really know what it was. Yeah, Hong Kong D-2 in generally was pretty crazy so maybe it was everything that happened combined? Might even include D-1 because BOTH days were insane. And then you get to this moment at the end that these two are always doing lately and something was just different about it?

Because I have plenty of time to talk about this moment in WAAAAAAYYY more depth, but here, I'm really just trying to focus on this water pouring thing in general and its importance to Hyunlix. Because they just keep doing it. There's certain concert things that have happened that we get once in a blue moon, like dancing together during a song like Topline or Item or LALALALA. And some things that they're known to always do, like Thunderous.

This is sorta getting to be something it seems they do often??? I mean, if they even are capable of doing it again after this because IDK, it's just starting to feel like there's some intimacy here that I'm not sure if they want us to be interrupting But there's something about them doing this together that seems like it's really special for Hyunlix. Special to the point that they both just kinda had a moment of realness in front of the world. Hyunjin either choosing to or unconsciously leaning on Felix and not moving until Felix did as if he had no intentions to ever move. And Felix very much understanding him despite no words exchanged and touching his forehead to his own while rubbing the back of his head, like LET'S BE REAL. There is NO CIRCUMSTANCE where this is a platonic thing. LIKE COME TF ON THEY LOOK LIKE THEY'RE OVER THE MOON WITH HOW HARD THEY'RE SMILING. LIKE THEY ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT A SINGLE OTHER PERSON IN THIS BUILDING

AND YOU MOTHERFXXKERS THINK THIS IS ABOUT A BOTTLE OF WATER?????????????????

They have legit NEVER reacted in this fashion before when doing this, which is why it all feels so real. It just came out of nowhere and we don't know why or what it meant but they both just seemed to be on the same page about it. And I know I'm starting to tiptoe into a whole separate unhinged essay I will have when I REALLY break down this moment and what it means but I'm still trying to keep this on the subject of what this water throwing thing means for them.

But I just can't get away from the fact that it makes it so much more real because Hyunlix don't typically act like this. There have, for sure been similar moments, like one MANIAC Tour moment that probably comes to mind for most when Felix kinda grabbed Hyunjin by the back of the neck while they were doing their YAYAYA part IIRC. But it was nothing like this. This was a whole new level of OKAY bro, you are not leaning against this man's head or grabbing the back of his head and basically nuzzling your foreheads together because you two are just that close friends.

Hyunjin's facial expression is bad enough, but Felix's response effectively confirming that he was in the same boat is what's so crazy. They don't say anything AT ALL here, but the clear communication is so telling. And on that note, Hyunjin BARELY got wet. Felix is basically throwing the water BEHIND them rather than on either of them. So this shit was NOT about the whole water thing. This was something much more personal and deep for them because neither of them are worried about just getting wet, that much is clear. If no one is trying to get wet while also being on the same page about that fact, then WHAT IS IT????

And again, the member reactions once again say it all~



They just CONSTANTLY look like they're terrified of what's about to happen. Changbin is nervously laughing like he's praying they don't do it. Mr. President is beside himself, mouth agape. They both stop everything they're even doing and only walk off once Hyunlix separate from each other. Han was behind them and also looked like he was about to be a witness to something INSANE. It's like they all see this ticking time bomb of Hyunlix and whatever romantic/sexual tension is going on and are just praying it doesn't explode.

So like IDK, this water thing has evolved from just a one-off prank, to something Hyunjin is insisting he makes sure he is getting wet with Felix, to just some kinda pure, wordless, emotional exchange that they both felt the same way about. I just have no idea what made them so blissfully happy this time like LOOK AGAIN AT THOSE SMILES.

You don't just go from squeezing your eyes shut laughing one second to just being in complete relaxed serenity the next "platonically". You don't respond to someone leaning against you and not even trying to move by laughing your heart out over the realness of it all and nuzzling him "platonically". Felix responds so fast that it's no way they don't nuzzle like that often. This is something special for them and they may never have another moment like this specific interaction again, but it showed us that Hyunlix es legitimately real. There is no denying that. I don't see how anyone can try to fish up or construct a platonic explanation for this, like it just doesn't exist. I will have a LOT more to say about that at a later date. For now, I guess I'm just happy they felt comfortable enough to share this moment with us. They so rarely act like this in public and something slipped out and they didn't really shy away from it and I just think that's so precious and beautiful and I love their love so much

So obviously we have to get to what makes this THE moment. Notice EVERY other time before this, if Hyunjin is pouring, he puts his arm around Felix, and Felix puts his arm around Hyunjin if he's pouring. But I guess since this one was so "unplanned" they just stood next to each other. I mean, Hyunjin really could have put his arm around Felix if he wanted to. Instead, he just leans against Felix, just their heads touching each other and it's EXTREMELY JUST SO FXXKING INSANE BECAUSE HE LITERALLY JUST LOOKS LIKE HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW OR CARE WHERE TF HE IS. There is not a single thought in his head about the fact that they're on stage in public right now, bro looks like he has physically, mentally, and spiritually checkedT out and only cares about the fact that he is with Felix.

But you know what's the WORST thing ever, is that Felix is CLEARLY aware that Hyunjin is having some kinda moment with him, because his reaction when he realizes Hyunjin is still leaning on him is to FXXKING GRAB THE BACK OF HIS HEAD AND SMASH THEIR FOREHEADS TOGETHER IN THE MOST AFFECTIONATE WAY EVER????

Again, look at EVERY past time this happened, usually Felix just gives Hyunjin a pat on the back or ass or arm or something like that. It's more like "thanks for being a good sport" energy. THIS was not something he just did by chance, he did it BECAUSE even though his eyes were closed, he felt that Hyunjin was still leaning on him even after he finished pouring the water. I think Felix was more than aware that Hyunjin didn't want to move and probably wasn't gonna move but they just can't stand there like that for long And that was kinda just his way of acknowledging the WHATEVER WAS GOING ON and that he was on the same page, so to speak.

LIKE IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN IT, BUT FELIX'S VIBE BASICALLY FEELS LIKE "YEAH, ME TOO"

And all I'm trying to figure out is WHAT is it about this moment in general that is so special? But also as well as, how did THIS one time become so different???

What made Hyunjin just kinda loose himself here? Why was it seemingly the case for both of them? Like in layman's terms, WHAT HAPPENED HERE?

This is sorta getting to be something it seems they do often??? I mean, if they even are capable of doing it again after this because IDK, it's just starting to feel like there's some intimacy here that I'm not sure if they want us to be interrupting But there's something about them doing this together that seems like it's really special for Hyunlix. Special to the point that they both just kinda had a moment of realness in front of the world. Hyunjin either choosing to or unconsciously leaning on Felix and not moving until Felix did as if he had no intentions to ever move. And Felix very much understanding him despite no words exchanged and touching his forehead to his own while rubbing the back of his head, like LET'S BE REAL. There is NO CIRCUMSTANCE where this is a platonic thing. LIKE COME TF ON THEY LOOK LIKE THEY'RE OVER THE MOON WITH HOW HARD THEY'RE SMILING. LIKE THEY ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT A SINGLE OTHER PERSON IN THIS BUILDING

They have legit NEVER reacted in this fashion before when doing this, which is why it all feels so real. It just came out of nowhere and we don't know why or what it meant but they both just seemed to be on the same page about it. And I know I'm starting to tiptoe into a whole separate unhinged essay I will have when I REALLY break down this moment and what it means but I'm still trying to keep this on the subject of what this water throwing thing means for them.

But I just can't get away from the fact that it makes it so much more real because Hyunlix don't typically act like this. There have, for sure been similar moments, like one MANIAC Tour moment that probably comes to mind for most when Felix kinda grabbed Hyunjin by the back of the neck while they were doing their YAYAYA part IIRC. But it was nothing like this. This was a whole new level of OKAY bro, you are not leaning against this man's head or grabbing the back of his head and basically nuzzling your foreheads together because you two are just that close friends.

History will remember them as the bestest of buddies

They just CONSTANTLY look like they're terrified of what's about to happen.

Changbin is nervously laughing like he's praying they don't do it. Mr. President is beside himself, mouth agape. They both stop everything they're even doing and only walk off once Hyunlix separate from each other. Han was behind them and also looked like he was about to be a witness to something INSANE. It's like they all see this ticking time bomb of Hyunlix and whatever romantic/sexual tension is going on and are just praying it doesn't explode.

So like IDK, this water thing has evolved from just a one-off prank, to something Hyunjin is insisting he makes sure he is getting wet with Felix, to just some kinda pure, wordless, emotional exchange that they both felt the same way about. I just have no idea what made them so blissfully happy this time like LOOK AGAIN AT THOSE SMILES.

You don't just go from squeezing your eyes shut laughing one second to just being in complete relaxed serenity the next "platonically". You don't respond to someone leaning against you and not even trying to move by laughing your heart out over the realness of it all and nuzzling him "platonically". Felix responds so fast that it's no way they don't nuzzle like that often. This is something special for them and they may never have another moment like this specific interaction again, but it showed us that Hyunlix es legitimately real. There is no denying that. I don't see how anyone can try to fish up or construct a platonic explanation for this, like it just doesn't exist. I will have a LOT more to say about that at a later date. For now, I guess I'm just happy they felt comfortable enough to share this moment with us. They so rarely act like this in public and something slipped out and they didn't really shy away from it and I just think that's so precious and beautiful and I love their love so much

It's the most wonderful moment in the world. They told us about this in So Good. I'm so happy for them
