Panel opinions

Yoon Sang: With this song it's hard to escape Lee Moon Sae, but Kim Daeri managed to do it thanks to his unique colors, while his opponent stuck to the original style. Both have skill, but Kim Daeri has unique spices . He seems so relaxed he must be a singer-songwriter, seeing how he changed the melody at ease

Yoo Young Suk: Disagrees, he thinks the opponent was the one who was special

Kim Gura: Agrees about the unique part, but still likes the opponent more, so while believing Kim Daeri to be the most likely winner, it makes him sad for the opponent.

Winner Seungyoon: After the sexy dance, he realized how he had failed to recognize that he was obviously an idol. He guesses he's a multi talented idol singer main vocalist who composes and writes lyrics, because the way he changes notes to suit his taste is from someone who writes songs.

After it's announced that Kim Daeri wins, Lovelyz Yein says she wanted the other guy to win lol.

My personal assessment of Round 1:

Round 2, episode 210 (vs Cupcake)

He sang BEAUTIFUL

Yoo Jae Hwan: Assistant Manager is getting a promotion

Yoo Young Suk: Says he underestimated him, this performance was perfect. His emotions suit more modern songs. He changed his mind now, and can see him going to the final. Because the MC cornered into admitting he was wrong, he now feels like he's a lesser composer compared to Yoon Sang and Kim Hyun Chul (who preferred Kim Daeri in round 1)

Kim Gura: Never saw someone cover this song so perfectly, he could become the youngest king. He's young but his performance was perfect. The MC points out it's rare for Kim Gura to compliment someone so much.

Winner Seungyoon: Mantains his opinions from round one, but would still choose to buy Cupcake's album more the traitor

Lovelyz Mijoo: He's so great there's no more words needed, and she would buy his album. Yein made fun of her for shooting hearts ❤ during his performance.

Yoon Seok: He guesses he's very young, and wants to be an idol.

My personal assessment of Round 2:

Round 3, episode 210 (vs Paper Airplane)

He sang TIME SPENT WALKING THROUGH MEMORIES




Panel opinions:

Kim Hyun Chul: Because of the way he moves on stage, he's not a balladeer, he's heavily trained, an idol. He's in awe because he sang very passionately but didn't run out of breath

Yoon Sang: You can see the desperation of someone who's wanted to come on this show for a long time.

Shin Bong Sun: Korean idols are talented, but he just raised the bar. He's young, super talented, and has the potential to get even better.

Lovelyz Mijoo: He's a monster (in awe, as a compliment)

Current Masked King Nightingale performs to defend her crown, while Kim Daeri is evaluated by his 3 previous performances.

I was so ready to say it was unfair that he lost, but tbh she shut me right up when she knocked it out of the park, it would be too biased of me to criticize her

Yoo Young Suk: His version was more emotional than the original, while staying neat.

Kim Gura: The panel has become attached to Kim Daeri, it's like raising a tamagotchi, because of his specialties and his cute charms he's more memorable than other participants. The current King is good, but Kim Daeri's great likeability might change the course of the match.

Nightingale: His performances made me want to become his fan and buy his album

My personal assessment of Round 3:

His demeanor is so different I'm the mask really made him confident lol

How Yoon screams Doyoung-ah!!!!!!!

This is gonna be my new reaction picture for every single thing Doyo does from now on.

MC remarks how they always mentioned NCT except this time. Kim gura says he read an article about NCT being in the US, so how did he do. Doyoung says he went back and forth while preparing. He wanted to be here since he was a trainee, since Luna came onto the show. He's thought about it for so long and had prepared a repertoire so much that he was less nervous.

When asked what he would have done with his tour schedule if he won, Doyoung said his managers were already working on it in the waiting room, but he told them not to, and to not hold their breaths (for him to win)

Doyoung said he's confident as an idol singer, since idol singers are good

Yoon looks very touched by this, and says he's one of the best idol vocalists, and can't believe he didn't guess it was him (FYI they had a stage together singing Dont Stop Me Now)

This one is NSFH (not safe for hearts) so I think people should proceed with caution, all those casual oufits and bare face looks and all that singing, and intimate look into his repertoire, and those adorable boyfriend looks...

Agree, strongly agree hahahaha.... i have so many bias and bias wrecker in NCT, that i don't have space in my head for another boy group.
