I don't know if it's too late to reply but: MSG Wannabe is a project group from a korean program. It was "formed" by Yoo Jae Suk, and it haseight well-known celebrities...so like SSAK3, they will do well on charts no matter what.

Lol. cuz I think Suju is part of the smcu. so they don't really know what's going on. they are also on SJ Label. The whole SMCU concept seems more for anyone after Exo. Maybe it cuz those groups are the most active. Like if someone had a comeback like snsd maybe we'd see them too. I did see BoA used in the BM MV. Guess we'll see when Taeyeon and D.O. make their CB/solo debut.

Noooo....I'm talking about the "lack" of interactions.
At the beginning, EXO and Red Velvet (esp Kai and Seulgi) didn't interact that much...to avoid the "shipping".
I thought SM was doing the same with NCT (esp Dream) and aespa...actually I wasn't the only one thinking like that.

Yes, Covid is definitely a factor...but...when fans talk about "lack of interaction" is because we are comparing them to older generations...SUJU-SNSD and SHINee-f(x) interactions were at another level. Sadly since 2014-2015 fans of male idols started to be less "tolerant" to interactions with female idols....+the severe shipping made things even worse (that's why some groups stopped reacting to groups of the opposite sex). So I'm not surprise at SM (and other companies) keeping the interactions to the minimal.

yes... that is kinda true. However, there are several reasons for that.
1- those 'older' sm idols trained together. they were already close before they debut. We are just entering a new cycle (a new gen) of sm idols. And their training era is a bit different. I already see the change and shift. Like with RV they seem closer when around NCT instead of their seniors. It's because they all went through the smrookie training phase. I think the same will be for aespa. We just have to wait till covid dies down and public interaction is better.
2- back then variety shows were built around interactions. Compared to now... variety shows just aren't as good as they used to be. I can't think of one good variety show on air today that has more than 2 idol groups interacting with each other. Like you said.. maybe the more added fear these days of shipping or dating scandals.. .but who knows?
