Edit: If this was true, wouldn’t it be the same case like Red Velvet where they had 4 members during the debut and then Yeri was added later?

If SM push back the girls a year for the boy group I’m going to be pissed... I mean no offence, but in the 2010s SM has managed to debut 6 boy groups (EXO, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV & SuperM) and 1 girl group (Red Velvet) it’s about time they debut another girl group

03 will be 17 Years old next year so I doubt it.

It will be either 04-05. 04 is 16 Years old 05 is 15 years old

Interesting, do we think 2007 would be too young for the group? She'd only be 13 if she were added to the group

She just passed the SM audition so I don't think she'll get included in a group that'll be debuting soon.

There's a better chance she'll be training for a group that won't be debuting for a few (or several) more years.

If the rumours are true of a March debut then she'd have trained about the same time as Chen and Baekhyun iirc, I don't think SM minds as long as you're talented and fit the group. However I think her age would be the only factor keeping her from joining

It’s against the law too. She’s not allowed to work for long hours, since she’s just 13 years old in Korean age (currently just 12 Years old). And if she debuts next year she’ll probably still be 13 in Korean age of 14. And she needs to be at least 16 years old in korean age (15 years old international).

I think the maknae will end up being 14 or 15. 13 is a bit too young, she'll probably end up being a potential member for the next girl group. I suspect will make their debut soon after the 2020 girl group. I could honestly see SM debuting their 2020 girlgroup then debuting another girlgroup in 2022 or 2023.

Jisung debuted at 14, and many other idols have since. I don't think that's holding anyone back at this point from debuting younger idols

NCT dream was generally young though, + they didn’t had any huge activities going on unlike the other sub-units.

i kinda don't want her to debut so young if Jungyeon makes it, cause then it would be a 10 year gap, that's too much in my opinion

Jisung was a special case given the whole concept of his group was being young and that given the number of units they could always promote the NCT brand without Dream being overworked. For a traditional group I think they'll want to stick to 15/16 for the sake of maximizing profit bc while companies have debuted tweens since, it comes with problems like with Izone during their first year Wooyoung couldn't attend or had to leave half-way through certain filmings/award shows which sucked given she's the most popular and given what SM's going through financially they'll want to be able to fully promote all the members.

Wasnt there some info about SM wanting to debut a "global" girl group in some years from now? I think if its actually true that she could stay for that group, now (2020) its too soon, she's too young

Well SM is famous for debut group with age gap between the eldest & youngest so big. I don't think I ever saw or known any of their idol group age gap is small between the eldest & youngest
