I don't consider myself a SM stan. And when I say "sm stan" I mean I don't stan any company. But I generally like most of sm artists and their music. I have been a kpop fan going on 13 yrs now. I got into kpop cuz of BoA. I went to my first kpop / smtown concert in LA 2010 cuz I felt that would be my only chance to see this Queen legend. Never thought I'd ever go to Korea. Long story short, I got exposed to other SM artists at smtown and really enjoyed their performances as well. So the artists and legacy holds quite dear to me.

This whole thing going on with the SM board doing Lee Soo Man dirty is upsetting. The disrespect. . This guy not only the founder of SM but practically the first founder of kpop agency. But they trying to push him out like he was trash. And for him to sue SM is something I'd thought I never hear.

Anyway, I feel like what is going on internally is affecting (or gonna affect) a lot of the SM artists. And I feel that is what's going on with aespa atm. Things were going so well, the hints from the members and the timing just seemed all there. Then suddenly, it felt like something happened and got delayed?

I just wanted to give anyone a heads up if things start to get weird with sm artists cuz generally most of us in this thread follow the same threads/artists.

Nice show overrall, they got to experience it at least. Nothing really new so far, as they visit and did most games and activities like every group would do. For a first reality show that's normal.

The days of spending 4 weeks on weekly music shows

Yes, not 4 weeks but 3 is still possible. NCT 127 and NCT Dream are older than aespa and during 2021 and 2022 they promoted their comebacks 2-3 weeks straight. I'm still salty for aespa: Black Mamba was the only song promoted on at least 3 music shows in the same week + Next Level and Savage hype was wasted. And I don't want to talk about Girls. SM was in a hurry to promote aespa in the US when it wasn't necessary yet.

I don't like LSM (He is somewhat shady/manipulative, but I guess I can't expect less from the former CEO of a big company) but I agree with the part about him being one of the founders of kpop. Credits where credit is due. They are doing him dirty right now. And yes, it seems like many problems backstage contributed to the poor planning and mismanagement in recent years.

personally I think 2 weeks is enough. Unless you really nugu and need the exposure i feel it's a waste of their time. We know how early they need to wake up and prepare every night. For fans all we see is a 4 minute performance but for them it's a all day thing. And they have other schedules in between, before and after as well. You have to pay to be on those music shows too. I rather have them spend money on them elsewhere. For me the U.S. promo did more for them then any of that. It gave them more exposure to non-fans and kpop fans. I also preferred it cuz I know when it comes to the U.S. we'll get to hear them perform live. people like to point finger at sm for that but it's really the organizers decision. Korea has become the norm for that sort of thing, but the u.s. has restrictions and the proper equipment when it comes to live performances.

You never hear any sm artist talk badly bout LSM. Whether they leave the company or not. That says a lot. Talking about SM management as a company on the other hand is a different story. Lot of people seem to get confused or differentiate between the two, especially new kpop fans. SM management has been run by a series of different ceos for the past decade. that doesn't help either.

I know we always have a difference in opinion and thats fine . makes good for interesting conversation rather than just posting photos and videos.

For their first reality show, they've done a lot, travelled and discovered the country. I liked the final game, despite only being 4 members they manage to be entertaining and had fun.

Karina was a little bit sick, you could notice it with her voice. It did not stop her from being the best at games and being competitive. She's afraid of height.
Winter is really cute, the most "baby" of the 4, the one you'd like to protect
Ningning brings something else, as she's always thinking outside the box or not following the rules, she laughs easily and she's bad at games. Also she loves soju.
Giselle is a pro, as she's aware of the entertaining codes (filming patterns, hidden games and more)

YES. i really enjoyed it myself
And yeah.. karina said she was sick/had sore throat. thats why her voice was like that during the filming. When they were doing the high note challenge that's why she gave up cuz her voice wasn't 100%
they are very natural. I always say they are just four friends but happen to also be idols.

I mean... I knew this would happen. people forget they debut during the pandemic. For 2 yrs. no one could do anything or go anywhere. Things only started to get better since last year. but there were still restrictions on covid procedures. That being said, they (and others who debut during covid) had a late start than others. And its not like they weren't busy.

meh, screw those fans. they always gonna be unhappy bout something. also if you read my above comment I feel like a lot of what is going in with sm vs LSM internally right now might be affecting some of the sm artists schedules. or... might start to affect, in the future. I really wanted to start off this year with no drama and the best for my faves so lets hope for the best
