I mean a song can have a cool bass and and not be girl crush...Liar Liar by Oh My Girl, Dumb Dumb, Rookie, most of Carly Rae's songs like. bass is a major element in p much all pop music and it's not uncommon for ppl to turn the bass up when practicing choreo so I don't think we can conclude anything from op's description concept-wise. I also think it's possible since op only saw three girls that this could be a MMC predebut reunion cover/subunit thing, Lami's already been rumored to have gotten a bob-cut so it fits, + I want to believe that none of the 5 known girls got cut

They’re going to debut either next month or in March most likely. Also as much as I don’t want to admit it, I think the new girl group could have a girl crush concept. With the success of Blackpink in the States and SM’s recent obsession with promoting groups in the US I wouldn’t be surprised if they attempted to market the girls there and the most Western appealing concept would be girl crush if we’re being honest

I don’t want to disappoint you guys but BP didn’t had any “good” Recognition in the U.S. they only got hype from the coachella festival. And when they went to that morning show they got dragged because they didn’t dance as well as Lisa (There was a huge gap between them and Lisa). The girls got into a negative News in Europe too for their tickets being extremely expensive, so a few of their EU dates weren’t sold out (Berlin, and Amsterdam). Their US your WASNT sold out either. Even BTS isn’t going mainstream sadly, let alone will BP.

I do agree with you that girl crush concepts are overrated. I kind of sick of seeing girl crush concept comeback.

Anyway I still believe SM will create a whole new concept for the ngg. That is what SM have been doing for years.

I totally agree with you I rarely see cute concept frow new gg nowadays. It would be good if they start with cute concept and turn to girl crush or whatever concept later for next comeback like SNSD.
