seems like OP is a friend of Koeun's friends. I read her answers on ask website it's so interesting. She also talked about line-up change last year and new face trainees who are all-rounder and main vocalist are added to new line-up and debut date is probably set up during summer (mid-year). I only understand some basic korean so it's hard to read all of her answers.

To be honest, I doubt they'll debut during summer. It feels too long to wait for them after all these years. But then again, it's just what I think.

They are so strong in digital charting, physical sales, high MVs, and voting wise that it makes it tough for other artists to compete at music shows for 3+ weeks after them. I'd imagine that SM would want SMNGG to get a some wins and make a splash for their debut.

It still draws public and media attention away. It's a business after all. There's a reason why movie studios are strategic about their release dates. Music industry is the same way.

Also as I mentioned if SMNGG releases anywhere 3 weeks after them they won't be able to win at any music shows except for those like "The Show" that requires attendance.

They can definitely win without a physical. Dalla Dalla was only a digital release.

For music shows, digital and SNS/MV views are a large part of the total score. Only with Music Bank's scoring system are physical sales a big factor.

I won't talk about the competition, Yes Feb competition is high. But, if is Feb, shouldn't SM start to release some teaser or introduction of the lineup. plus SM yesterday confirmed NCT 127 is preparing for comeback, which I believe their cb likely to be next month or Mar. (of course, I won't be shocked if SM decided to debut the girls along with NCT 127 comeback, since SM loves to have their artists comeback/debut back to back) Just don't think is Feb, as is too quiet on SM-side

Feb probably not (looking at SM have yet make any hype/any content for this new gg in Jan) Official teaser/introduction video/posters , not one single thing drop by SMTOWN. So I won't believe is Feb debut however, this is my view, we still need to monitor on the news/SMTOWN GLOBAL TWITTER)

Yes, most SM girl groups debut in summer period except for their 1st girl group. however, didn't the last 2 quarter report & articles emphasized , it will be 1st half of the year.


Anyway, this is my view. After-all, I will wait for official contents by SMTOWN GLOBAL
