Opening of the Awards Section
I do apologize for the delay on this but I'd like to formerly declare the awards section open! You may now post and host voting threads for your favorite groups. Please, please, please make sure you read the badge guidelines thread so that you know how hosting works here on H+. If you have any questions or concerns visit our ask thread or feel free to PM me. The awards team will be heavily monitoring voting threads to ensure everything is in order; because it's a new forum it may take some time to work out the kinks but we're hoping to make voting as smooth as possible.
No this is not an official awards season or anything similar, just an official "yay we're open" kind of thing
Pride Badge
As apart of our ongoing effort to make Hallyuplus a safe, inclusive and welcoming space for all and to celebrate Pride Month we have released our Pride badge! It does not require a post count and can be requested freely at any time over on the request thread. The Pride badge will remain on the site permanently as Pride is not something that only lasts for one month of the year, it's a lifetime commitment to acceptance and love for all people. Thank you for being apart of it <3
Alternate Badge Feature
As far as awards goes the saying 'you can't please everyone' has never been more true. However here at H+ we hope to please more than the usual with our new feature: Alternate Badges! Instead of having one group badge you now have the option to have two distinct group badges to choose from when displaying your love for your favorite groups!
If you are familiar with wildcard rounds the alternate badge voting round will function similarly. An OP should first determine if there is interest in an alternate badge by setting up a poll for voting users to vote 'yes' or 'no'. Should users decide they want an alternate, the voting pool of badges should consist of those previously voted on. I will be updating the guidelines thread shortly with this new information.
We currently do not have plans to extend this feature to individual artists, group members etc.
Our hope is that with this feature more of the userbase will have at least one group badge they like, we'd love to hear your feedback or suggestions regarding this feature, feel free to post below as well as to ask any questions you might have.
Reminder to post & request badges
I know that the request system is taking a little getting used to for everyone but please remember to both post on the request thread as well as actually requesting the badge via the awards page. Thank you!
