......and support their current tour?

So I don't mention MX much on this site, but I've been their fan since debut, and I have very mixed feelings about their new tour. It would be a lie to say that Wonho's departure didn't impact me (even though my biases are IM and Minhyuk) and though I respect his decision to leave, I hate how Starship managed it afterwards. MX was pushed into their new promos with no breaks to help them process what happened, and they clearly looked heartbroken and unwell. The cherry on top of the dumpster fire was Jooheon's haitus and the announcement of a new tour in the beginning of 2020. Starship has also announceed plans for a new boy group this year, and that sparked a horrible idea in my head. And that is that Starship is just milking as much money out of Monbébés and MX as they can before Shownu has to enlist, and that once that happens they will throw MX aside like an old t shirt so they can push their rookie group. Nothing about Starships management this year (or last year) has helped ease that fear out of my mind, and it's honestly what's stopping me from purchasing tickets for their Michigan stop because I beleive the boys are being mistreated.
If you don't have these views, can you explain them to me? If you agree, why? This will probably be my only chance to see them live, and I would love too, but these concerns stop me from doing so. (Kinda rambly but I have alot of thoughts on this)

Well I would think a Monsta X fan should go to their concert. The boycotting thing is not really the thing to do... Unless you don't like the rest of the members anymore.. are you really a Monsta X stan then? I mean you are having this kinda moral conversation about the company and all that when this may be the only time you will be able to see them... they might never have a world tour again. I mean they could disband just like any other kpop group could... If you really like the group and want to go but choose not to because of this kinda attitude you will most definitely get mad at yourself in the future. You'll think yeah I was worried about them but I missed the only chance to see Monsta X because I was mad at Starship... Which sounds pretty silly tbh
FYI there would be no way I would miss a WJSN concert even if it was only 4 of them and they were playing random instruments

I do think Starship was completely wrong for pushing them so much after Wonho, literally zero rest for them. But it can only bring bad to group sabotaging concerts and stuff. Because company won't be like "yeah we were wrong, let's fix it", but company will only see numbers of group, if it doesn't satisfy them, well rip. So at the end, I would go, trust me, because one day you can wake up and your group is no more there and you would never see them again

GuestWhile I agree that Starship is pushing them too much after Wonho left, plus with everything with Jooheon I don't think boycotting is the way to go. I personally got tickets to see them because I want to support the group. This isn't about supporting Starships actions, but supporting the 6 members left. I'll regret it later if I missed the chance to see them when I could, especially if they do disband later on. Boycotting will only make that even more likely, Starship will just see the numbers and if they are bad it's even more of a reason to push another group over Monsta X.
So, if you want to support the members still in the group. Go. Don't think about Starship's part in this, since no, I don't support their actions either. I do support Monsta X though and always will.

I mean I understand your frustration and I agree with what you're saying, but I don't think boycotting will help anything sadly. I honestly thought about boycotting Starship after their treatment of MX, but after all the members have been through recently they really need our support right now more than ever. If we stopped supporting them, Starship would probably just toss them aside right now. It's a really difficult situation tbh. I'm just holding onto hope that they'll leave Starship once their contracts are up and sign somewhere else as 7.
