So, I was racking my brain for an OP design, then realized - this is meant to be a graphics collective! Why don't we develop this all together?
Anyway, this OP will be erased once we get all of the details going. For now, let's develop the new CCS!

I am anti-AI art, so I support this.
It's also been a hot minute since i've touched CSS, but I'll have freetime after finals are over so i'll help as much as a can! (I probably need a refresher in it anyway )

hmm i vote yes for the ban.
the magic of the original club was us learning how to make things ourselves with photoshop and gimp, and AI tools goes against that

I'm thinking of how we can delegate more this time around? I feel like in the last iteration, I had a lot of control, but I want everyone to have a lot more freedom this time around.

The next course of action is programs! So, as Baymax has mentioned, not everyone has access to PS, so GIMP and some other options are out there. I believe @Chomiczewska has some really good alternatives.

Don't get me wrong - that would be awesome! I haven't done a CSS profile in literal years. I would love to do it too!

i haven’t used canva in a long time but yeah i remember some elements were locked behind premium, not sure if that has changed now

I think I’ve only used Canva once, and yeah it definitely has a pay wall.

I was thinking we can skip out on whole cards and just add pfp to the OP? Or just something a bit different from the cards?

or we could do something like this if we want to have a template - candy jars filled with whatever we want to put inside (for personalisation) and our names on the label.

Or every so often we can "open" the shop for OP design requests, this can help keep it active if we don't have time to focus on themes/activities. It can also be a great opportunity for us to practice with skills as well as make the threads appealing, even if only a few people visit them.

I feel like there's less pressure and less commitment if there's a group of us offering to do OP requests here compared to an individual opening their own shop for requests.

I am so down with candy and soda! RR recommended something similar on the Discord. For the OP shop, we could totally have a rotation on it and just list the people who are interested in doing them!

So far,
1. AI art is banned from this thread in any capacity. You can use tools like background remover but you CANNOT generate ANY art of ANY kind.
2. We are all going to design a type of candy to represent us.
3. We will start taking some OP/shop requests but CCS members will share if they are interested.
4. Some alternatives listed so far are Photopea, Krita and Canva. We still have to look into Canva more because of the paywall.

So we used to do small tutorials here and there that led into some tasks. Would everyone be okay with making some every now and then?

I was also thinking we could have an instagram or have social media post for us?
