The first time I saw him in Iz*One chu I thought he was pretty handsome for a muggle/commoner, and so I joked about hoping he becomes a Kpop idol. But he didn't quite seem to me to be interested in things like idols or music or dancing? At least from what I could tell from the Iz*One chu episode. He seemed like your average big bro.
BUT recently it was brought to my attention that he actually does his own showrooms (the thing AKB girls used somewhat equivalent to Vlive.)? He's mentioned Hitomi quite a few times and even said that she makes him want to work harder.
And I'm thinking.... harder for what?
I'm curious what his goal is. Does he actually want to become a celebrity or is he just messing around on the internet? I think if he does though, a sure fire way to get exposure would be to audition for the new and upcoming Produce 101 Japan. As Hitomi's onii-san, he would be sure to garner a lot of attention and votes from Iz*One fans who no doubt would push for him.
Do you think he will go for it or what is his deal?
I am dying with curiosity because I think he might have what it takes and I would stan for sure.

LurkerHe participated on Junon Boy contest. It pretty much mean that he wants to be celebrity. Junon is the magazine directed at teenage girls and women and Junon Boy contest is sort of like beauty contest or something. Many of the finalist become actors especially starring in super sentai and kamen rider series.
I don't know whether he auditioned for Produce101Japan or allowed to audition at the same time he is the participant of Junon Boy contest. But AFAIK Produce101 Japan have three stages process:
1. Application stage (deadline 31st May)
-You apply for the show by registering to their website. They also launched some sort of scout program which you use this hashtag #国民総スカウト to recommend someone to join the show. Honda Hitomi brother is being tagged a lot
2. First interview (last Jun)
3. Second interview (this month of July)
-If I am not mistaken today will be the first day for the second interview. The one that pass this will be the contestants of the show.
Anyway, right know the main question is not whether he will audition or not but whether he had applied for audition and passed the first two stage.
Aoi Nakamura shows off his rough side
Many actors claim that they owe their careers to the support of family, but in the case of Aoi Nakamura, this is literally true. The 18-year-old Fukuoka native got his start when his father submitted an application for the Junon Super Boy Contest — which Nakamura then went on to…
