I prefer the hand dryer. Paper towels make my hands feel funny. Not great against my skin. I prefer these types of handryers tho.

option C: Shake your hands off and wipe the excess off on my jacket
Those Dyson dryers are the best modern invention for hand drying, and I'll use them if the bathroom is nice.
But the less time I spend in stinky public restrooms, the better
How is it that the unisex toilets smell better than the female bathrooms 90% of the time

Paper towels. I don't want to have to touch the restroom door handle bare handed ao they are convenient for that too
SirTim0thy
🦋 Karma Butterfly 🦋Not sure how accurate this is, but I was recently in Philadelphia and a gentleman in the men's room said he used to install those hand dryers and in his experience they are awful due to the amount of bathroom germs they blow through the air, increasing risk of contamination, compared to towels which do not suffer from the same issue.
Personally, I prefer the paper towels anyway, for same reason as ^Umji Moods said, to touch the door handle when opening on the way out (a disturbingly high number of people I notice in public restrooms do not wash there hands before leaving...
) The downside is the environmental/tree impact in the paper towel case.

I do appreciate some places are beginning to include the hands-free door opening options like this:

Paper towels, like Timothy said the hand dryers are known to carry a TON of germs and I wash my hands to not have germs.
In case of emergency I always carry a travel soap and one of those small Japanese hand towels in my purse at all times so in case of a hand dryers only bathroom I still have a hand towel (that’s more environmentally friendly at least? And I can throw it in the wash when I get home. I store it in a plastic sandwich bag as well so I don’t have to sorry about it making my purse wet either.)

The last 2 bathrooms I was in had paper towels.

LurkerUm, McDonald's in my area uses the Air Blade exclusively, and someone in my area put them all on Google maps. Not that I trust public air, that's why I carry my own air and dryer from home....

1000 years have passed since I was last in a mcds let alone 1 of their bathrooms.Um, McDonald's in my area uses the Air Blade exclusively, and someone in my area put them all on Google maps. Not that I trust public air, that's why I carry my own air and dryer from home.
I genuinely haven't seen these here in Canada.
Also I thought u might have been joking.

You casually carry around a $600 hair dryer with you at all times????Um, McDonald's in my area uses the Air Blade exclusively, and someone in my area put them all on Google maps. Not that I trust public air, that's why I carry my own air and dryer from home.

Option 3: Don't use public restrooms
unless u mean, at home, but who actually has those hand dryers at home...
but my skin tends to get dry easily (and sometimes this results in slight eczema breakouts on my fingers)...I already have to make sure I always lotion my hands after washing them. I think a hand dryer would just make that problem worse

LurkerDon't even tell me you are from Alberta, just don't. And no way would I use my hair dryer in a public bathroom, that's just gross, I use it to dry my hands after I use a paper towel, then a wipe, then antibacterial spray, then lemon organic spray to clean off the antibacterial spray, then a cloth, no way is public bathroom anything getting near my hair dryer it stays in my car, where I have an inverter to run it. It's not like I have a ritual or anything to make sure all the germs are gone, it's not like I can see them crawling around on my skin or anything, seriously, it's perfectly normal, really!1000 years have passed since I was last in a mcds let alone 1 of their bathrooms.

Yes, but I got it at Costco where it's $70 off plus I had a discount of 20% plus cashback at the end of the year so total cost is around $290. Once I got used to how to hold it and wand it differently I'm addicted. Dyson makes crazy good stuff, guy is a genius. You casually carry around a $600 hair dryer with you at all times????![]()

Also you are the first guy I’ve ever met to willingly buy themselves a Dyson or care about how high tech it is.
At my old job every time we sold a Dyson it was for one reason and one reason alone: because a guy screwed up and needed an apology gift for their GF/Wife/Situationship

Chill, my dude, you're talking to someone from Hochelaga (colonially known as Montreal) here.Don't even tell me you are from Alberta, just don't. do you think I would be this publicly trans online if I was living in Alberta right now?
Like honey.
That transphobic traitor Danielle Smith can fuck all the way off.
I've lived in ontario since the age of 3 because of the referendum.
Also I'm a germaphobe 2. Ur process 2 feel sane and safe while using a public bathroom is ur process.
But aren't ur hands mostly dry from the paper towel?
$290 is like a month and a half of cat food 4 my 3 cats.

If everything is clean or decent, I'll use both, I like both but I think I prefer paper towel
If it's too unhygienic, I rather use my clothes instead, go home or seek another bathroom
