Sunshine
Sunshine was once a happy snowchild. That all changed when he started going to school. On Sunshine's first day of school, the other snowchildren told Sunshine to go away. "Mommy, why do the kids at school hate me?" Sunshine said, holding back icy tears. "Well baby...you were made with yellow snow. We smell...different," his mother, Marigold, said. Sunshine nodded his head. He spent the rest of the day concocting a plan.
The next day, Sunshine went to school and experienced the same looks of disgust. After eating dino-shaped snow nuggets for lunch, it was nap time. Once the teacher left to use the restroom, Sunshine got up and began to pull all the carrots from his classmates' faces. He grabbed a rock and threw it in the lightly frosted lake, creating a perfectly sized hole. Sunshine threw the carrots in the lake then went back to sleep. A few minutes later, a loud screech was heard. "Where are your noses?!?" the teacher screamed. The snowchildren touched their faces and began to cry. "Sunshine, why are you the only one with a nose?" Frosty Jr. asked. Sunshine sotfly said, "I just want to play with you guys." The police were called and Sunshine was arrested. Sunshine's arms were pulled out and he was placed in a square igloo.
That was 20 years ago. Sunshine was released on December 1, 2023. Sunshine spends his days on the other side of the lake, watching the snowchildren that play together happily.
