It was previously announced that Gfriend would be holding a special 10th anniversary reunion.
It was heavily speculated to be a reunion concert or tour, but it was announced in an article today that Gfriend will be releasing a new album in January 2025!
The fact that they will release a new album is all we know. The article states that source and the members are still discussing things such as how big the album will be and what concept (I doubt they even have a song yet).
I’m low-key expecting the comeback to be February maybe (because 1 1/2 months to plan an album seems rushed…) but I’m so happy I could cry.

Honestly I didn't post because I have not seen any official confirmation anywhere. Why would it be in a random article about older ggs making comebacks? I hope it is true but I think hybe would be shouting loudest after they already spilled about the return.

I feel like the only thing Hybe is concerned about right now is fighting MHJ
This reunion wasn’t a Source Music idea/thing, apparently Sowon has been putting in all the work fighting for this, so I’m honestly not shocked if Source kinda ignored this.
I also feel like if the reunion was a concert we’d hear something by now. An album seems more likely.

Gfriend didn't make the announcement though. Hybe was the one who confirmed it. The girls were very careful about what they said for a few days.I feel like the only thing Hybe is concerned about right now is fighting MHJ

Of what I understand, sowon has been negotiating with them for awhile and it will be done under source.
To be honest they probably have no choice but to do it under source. If they had all the rights to Gfriend themselves we probably would have had a reunion a long time ago.
