This song is the embodiment of bubblegum pop. Carly Rae Jespen who? Disney who? There is no doubt that this song will make you jump out of your seats and start jamming, singing on top of your lungs. This is just a joyful song truly made for all ages to enjoy. As for the lyrics, I only found a partial translation to the song but I hope that this is enough to get the message across.

A blush stains your cheek as you find yourself smiling at the thought of that person. Your heartbeat quickens and you feel light and happy. A space that was empty in your heart has now suddenly filled. You don't know when it happened. Or even how. All you know is you are in love.
This song is about that. It is about discovering that you have fallen in love with a person.
It is so cute and adorable. Plus very pop-y. It is catchy and you will find yourself bopping along with a smile on your face as you listen to it.

Also true bubblegum pop doesn't exist in indian music. And the round is pop and doesn't specify bubblegum. According to the description, they just needed to be a pop song that is bright and catchy. And i think uff fills all of those check marks.

S.H.E - Ke Ai Wan Sui (Long Live Adorableness)




S.H.E is one of my favorite Cpop groups, so i wanted to use them at least once in this game. The song is my my definition of bubblegum pop; sweet, fun, bright, girly, lots of pink, and diabetus inducing. The MV portarys the S.H.E members, Selina, Hebe, and Ella doing nothing but having a fun time and forgetting their worries. dressing up, playing those claw plushie games, dreaming of fun events (like going to the beach, going to an upscale party so they can dress prettily, going to a rodeo), going to the amusement park. Their bright and cute vocals carry the song. This song was released in 2009, so don't drag me for how the video looks like it was filmed on a potato.

The lyrics are as diabetus as the video and pretty much follow the video's storyline. The song is actually pretty uplifting looking at the lyrics. There's a lot of referencing on how being yourself is the most lovely you can be ("No one is not worthy for compliment, No one doesn't know it", saying that we all deserve to be complimented and we should all know how great we are). No matter your age we can all be cute and lovely, as time will only rewind the more we play ("Do a somersault and time rewinds"). I really love wild the lyrics are, the girls talk about making necklaces out of meteors and jackets that support castles. It pushes the imagination/dream motif that I've been into recently (see RV's Umpah Umpah, where the whole MV is basically them dreaming of what they will do on their vacation and also Twice's What Is Love, another MV where it's mostly of them dreaming of multiple scenarios).
