Ne Me Quitte Pas (Don't Leave Me) - Jacques Brel
I have made the decision to include the performance version of the song instead of the audio in part due to the emotions being conveyed tenfold in the performance version. The poetic words that are being expressed paint a image of a desperate man willing to go to great lengths in order for his love to not leave him. It's truly astonishing that Jacques Brel was able to capture such mania and despair in a 4 minute song. I included another translation, which I strongly recommend to read, in order to fully understand the pain that Jacquel Brel was singing about.

I choose this song as I find it a great representation of sadness and despair that one feels when a big part of you and your life is suddenly gone. Personally this song is huge part of me and one of reasons I chose it is certainly because Ren's description of round reminded me of an event in my life, and during this period of life, this song kept me strong. Luan perfectly captured the pain in his voice. I find it beautiful that he managed to break the language barrier with his voice as I am sure that even a non speaker can understand pain he feels. I must add that what always leaves me astonished is great strength this song has. In a way it helps you maintain positivity in toughest of times as singer stayed strong and knew that despair he feels is temporary, because he knew that if that love was the one of his life, it would last, not end.
