Happy 1 year to me

Before I begin my speech I just want to say: I just had a heart attack logging in before because I got logged out for some reason, had trouble logging back in, and low-key thought y'all banned me from this site for a hot minute.

1 year ago today, OH was shutting down and I was sitting in my room thinking to myself: wtf was I going to do in my free time now. Where TF am I going to talk about Kpop

That is, until, @Seunghee's Eyebrows randomly tagged me in a post there and invited me to come join here.
(Which I would like to say, I was kinda touched by because if you thought I was shy at first here, I was 10x more shy on OH and had no friends there so the fact that a random person considered me close enough to a friend to invite me here to keep talking to me I felt really really touched )

Ngl I did not have the most positive impression of this place at first.
(The site seemed really dead except for a threat Seunghee's Eyebrows made asking about everyone's favorite sandwich or something?)

But it livened up here a lot over this past year. I got to join some events, after like 6 months I finally figured out wtf was a badge/award and a +card, and i'm still figuring out new things on how this site works every day.

I also use to be an active blogger (like with a new blog post up every 2-3 days) with a somewhat big platform in the past? But lost my spark for it and quit about 5 years ago after going through some things. I honestly never thought i'd blog again (especially with it being more of a dying art now compared to tiktok vlogging), but y'all gave me a platform to type again, invited me to your blog team, and i've finally found my love for blogging again after all these years so I am really grateful to all of you for that.


I feel like I still have so much more of this site to figure out and learn (especially since this site seems to have some crazy lore) but since it's my anniversary I just wanted to take a moment to say I am really grateful to you all for accepting me into your community and letting me yap here. Life is crazy but being able to come on here and talk about anything and everything always bring a little bit of happiness to my day.

Happy Hallyu+-versary!

Although I don't think we have interacted much, your presence here is definitely appreciated and I have noticed the impact you have been making on the forums; I enjoy your threads and discussions, and I'm glad that you're able to reignite your spark for blogging again! iirc, you studied graphic design? It would be awesome for you to integrate your skills within blogging or the forums in general. If @llamabean resurrects the Candy Corner Shop, you should think about joining it! I actually went beyond the seas to get Photoshop the other day after that "lore" thread bc I'm feeling my spark come back for it. But of course, take it easy bc it can be so easy to burn yourself out with things.
