Okay Rektinq:

What is your definition of a good leader?
a good leader is honest, does not lead by forcing people to do things, makes sure others are good with the decision before making a choice, listens to others suggestions, does everything they say they can, doesn't ignore responsibility, and doesn't exclude people.

DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON MY OWN PERSONAL BELIEFS. OTHERS ARE FREE TO JUDGE WHAT THEY THINK IS RIGHT OR WRONG.

Also, as this is a review, i would mostly be pointing negatives. Note that this does not necessarily mean the idea is entirely wrong

I just realized this is too long. I’m putting it in spoilers

uh well for one example, to summarize it, making the opponents think u made a mistake when u weren't and were actually trying to make them do something

in a tos game so basically i was Lookout, i could choose someone and see who visited them. I knew the game had a Janitor, so i knew if someone were attacked they would have 2 people visit them, janitor + mafioso. So right before the day ended I knew who the doctor was since they claimed it to me and I "accidentally whispered wrong" and in the game you can whisper by doing /w but i did / w (the doctor) ok tonight heal me ok. basically just a way to drag mafia out to make them attack the doctor, and i knew they would, so i stayed on the doctor and when they attacked the doctor I saw the two people who visited them and then we lynched out 1 mafia the next day and vigi shot the other mafia, yes sacrificing doctor was a risk but 2 mafia for 1 town was worth it since on TOS there were around 8 town left and 3 mafia left, so even if we sacrificed doctor we would get 2 mafia so there would only be 1 mafia left, and there could have been another doctor/bodygaurd so.

tbh it's hard to give specific examples without like going into how each game works

and my biggest drawback is sometimes I'm too passive, and other times too aggressive, like in some games I don't always trust my intuition so if I think I should do something but I'm not sure sometimes I'm too passive and don't call it out but other times I call out small things too often, but usually with a team it's much easier and this drawback isn't as big of an issue since I can communicate with others and see what they think
It’s a bit sad that the example you used was a lookout...instead of something like jailor or godfather. Although your example is that you won by teamwork, is it due to your leadership?

Intuition is very important for a leader. Knowing when to advance and when to retreat. Teammates shouldn’t be there so you can ask them, they should be a source of a new perspective
I'm going to ask what people think their pros and cons are and what kind of games they are good at. Then before games I will ask again who thinks they could do well in the game and who will be on when the game will start, and if too many people say they want to be in it, I will ask them of examples / reasons why they would be good at the game and discuss with the co leaders who we should pick, also if there are not enough people, I will look over what people said their pros and cons are, and if even THEN they don't want to join/don't think they are good at it, I could always help participate too since I don't think I have too many games im AWFUL at so with a lot of games I could do at least decent. And if last minute someone doesn't turn up I'll take whoever else wanted to be in it or if not enough I'll sub in for them
Honestly, you’re going to be asking people too many questions. Not everyone will be able to respond. And if they do, it might not be instantly. You need to learn what to do without having to depend on the user.

I was also expecting an answer that includes making a SMU thread. From the looks of it, you plan to just assign members by yourself which is never a good idea.
well if there was 1 month for a event, I would def ask them if they are doing well/finished or not like in the middle of the 1 month not waiting until the last day to ask if people have finished or not, if people still haven't start like 25% of the way into the event I'll prob ask someone to replace them since they don't seem like they will work on the event much. Also if I had someone who wasn't great at English, I would just fill out the form for them then send them it and tell them to just copy paste this into where they were suppose to submit it and link it to them too and try to not use too many complicated words to explain what to do.
Again, you’re asking people too much. Many users in forums are introverts aka they’re not conversation people. Even if you try to ask for updates, most likely they won’t respond. You need a better process without involving the user too much. I suggest looking at how AT does it or some other awards threads.
tbh I would still need to see some examples from them too what they are good at and stuff, atm I think Galaxy and Byul but out of the 3 I know the least about Beefy so i would need to see what they could do, I know Byul and Galaxy are both good at managing since they own a lot of ops and galaxy is a mod, and also btw apparently we can decide how many co leaders and a lot of us or at least me byul and melt said 2 co leaders would be nice so i would say galaxy and byul, but again, I don't know what beefy can and cant do since I don't see him much outside of the MC cult thread
Looks like your knowledge of your members are basic. You need to learn more about them even without asking them. For example, Galaxy is not good because she’s a mod. She’s a mod because she’s good. How many users in this house do you know? How well do you know them? Does it have anything to do with the games or is it just about who does the most posts per day? For example, you know Byul is one of the top posters but how does she do it and will it be an asset in winning?
but I see you manage them well- like u update them often u don't just ditch any threads and you seem organized

as i said we might be able to choose 2 vice leaders if we think we want 2, and i think that would be the best since then if we disagreed the 3rd person could choose a side to side with so it would be majority and not just 2 people arguing.

Like I said before, I do agree about this evaluation about Byul. Nothing much is needed tbh. Her organization skills and ability to command others is enough. You, on the other hand, are vital. Byul doesn’t need to lead the team. He just has to keep the team from falling apart. But you need to make the team win.

I would prob motivate by saying things like "it's gonna be worth it in the end so let's just finish the game"
if no one is putting much effort in it I'll just ask stuff like "come on it'll be a lot more fun if you tried" or somethin like that
and if there aren't many people i would say things like "if there's less of us the reward might be split between less of us so we will get even more rewards"

If it's a personal matter, I will tell them to not argue about it on cord or on this thread, and just take it to dms and not to involve others into it

if it's about an event I'll tell them to give me their reasoning for what they think they should do, and then I'll think about it tell them what I think and also ask a co leader about their opinion about it, and if they aren't happy with which one we choose, we will just tell them that the other persons just sounds like a better idea this time, and maybe next time you will have a better idea who knows, but this time we are going with the other person

close the the people arguing? i'll still treat them the same, i'll still tell them to take it to dms and what i said above if it's about an event ^

if someone apologized, i would prob take them out or ask for them to be taken out of the current game, and have someone else sub in for them in the current game, but they would be allowed to play in a later game , and if they cheat again after they apologized i would report cause they obviously didn't mean it when they apologized
That motivation wasn’t really inspiring tbh. Because you yourself are not sure either. “If” and “something like that” are never inspirational. You have to be confident.

When people are fighting, you should only do 2 things. Either (1) mute/kick them or (2) report to ren. There’s no need to get involved. Unless the fight is hust shallow otherwise it will only make it worse

Again, there’s too much talking. Talking is good but too much is not. Most of the times, people aren’t that serious with their opinions. They just suggest stuff but they will not fight to the death for it. The leader decides after hearing the suggestion. If you run it back to the user, it will just be an endless loop of conversations. We experience that a lot in badge voting threads...

I agree with your method of dealing with the cheater. Except impose a longer suspension.
if we are making a decision and if both co leaders both disagree with me I won't keep arguing, I'll just try to see why they may think their decision was better, and maybe try to compromise or just go with their decision. also if a lot of people disagree with what i think we should do then I'm prob wrong/made the wrong decision so I'll def listen to them.
Again, you give in way too much to the majority or to others talking. The leader shouldn’t be swept by the flow but instead dictates the flow
I would prob still report it since in the end it was a unfair win.
I believe the question here was that the entire house was cheating. Why didn’t you know about it? You would report the others but wash your hands?
If i realized I was right all along in the end after the game is over? I still wouldn't be angry about it 🤷 I would just move on and try to maybe explain my reasoning better for the next time there is a conflict and I wouldn't do much tbh
Wouldn’t do too much? Why wouldn’t you? You’re right about not being angry but i don’t feel you’re taking any power in the decision. “Try” to explain my reasoning better...the leader should just say “trust me”
I mean in the end it was a unfair win. People should understand that they would get reported if they cheated
I think this was the same as the last one
well there was a situation i was in where a lot of people were trying to get things done and it was really messy, so I spent a lot of time and organized it all and made it easier for people to do what they were trying to do, like making a spreadsheet with info and times for things, and making templates for people to use when they were making things. And if any of it wasn't done I would do it for them to just make sure everything was done by the deadline
This is actually interesting. I was looking for this kind of answer in the first question. Organizing all the facts

Except i don’t agree with the part about doing it yourself. You can’t do everything by yourself.
