I'm from Scandinavia and there aren't many east asians here. Mostly thais and vietnamese. Maybe that's why people think she looks latino?

guys, spanish refers to people from spain, not hispanics. spaniards aren't hispanic.
and i partially understand that they think she's a spaniard to be honest.
im of mixed east and southeast asian descent (korean included) and almost everyone thinks im white. i live in spain and to many people i do look spanish.
anyways, i think that's mostly ignorance. i mean, they really dont know that there can be east asians with rounder and deeper eyes, lighter hair... they think all east asians have to have a similar look, and with somi not fitting in that, many think she's white.
