If you can read French it's a vegetable mill but that doesn't quite explain what it is. It's from the 1930s and still very useful.
I used it to tidy up my tomato soup (tomatoes, garlic, onion, oregano, coriander, salt & pepper).
scoop it in, turn the handle
and it squishes the food through the holes, leaving behind skins and seeds.
I forgot to take a pic of the nice chunk free soup.
I fetched the soup out of my freezer, I freeze it in plastics bags for easy stacking.

I've never seen or heard of one until now. Your soup looks amazing.
