Recently, a music video from India set a record with 75 million views in 24 hours
Currently rank 2 is
BTS Boy With Luv, 78 million (unofficial) / 74.6 million (official)
Taylor Swift ME!, 56.99 million (unofficial) / 65.2 million (official)
On YouTube, this record does not have an official article about it being ranked #1, because it was created by buying ads from Google and YouTube.
By the way, Indian singer and Sony Music India has expressed dissatisfaction when many singers, including Taylor Swift and BLACKPINK, who have been ranked 2 and 3 in 24 official hours, have also used ads like them.
(Rank 1,3,4,5 in the first 24-hour view rankings is music videos using ads)
Rank 1 is a music video from India
Bloomberg, Billboard, Forbes and others have confirmed the record of music videos that use ads by existing singers, and it’s unfair that they don’t acknowledge the 1st rank of Indian music video.

1. You have the right to use ads, but if a music video uses ads to reach a record, it’s an unfair fight.
2. I just feel proud of BTS because they don’t use ads.
3. That’s right. They should recognize the 1st rank of Indian music videos.
4. Why is it different now? If they don’t accept Indian singers music videos, they should not accept existing ads hit songs.
5. They should not recognize music videos using ads from now on! ㅋ ㅋ ㅋ ㅋ ㅋ ㅋ ㅋ
6. Music videos using ads should be ranked separately
7. What is the difference in unformal and official views?
8. If they think of singers who are ranked 2 and 3, they must admit the record of that singer, but frankly, it seems unfair to surpass BTS’ record because BTS doesn’t use ads.
9. Contact Bloomberg to find out if it is false information.
10. I only know BTS is a wall.

they didn't seem to be this worried when TS used ads
I don't get why people make such a big deal about youtube views... it's not that deep. Are views paying your bills? Do they give you higher grades? Is being the artist with the most views (or being their fan) have a significant impact on your income? I don't think so
I think for kpopfans it's mostly because youtube views are a factor in winning music shows. (and yes I don't think music show wins are important either but it does help less popular groups with media exposure.) Music shows need to remove views from the calculations or companies buying ads for views is just another form of sajaegi.I don't get why people make such a big deal about youtube views... it's not that deep. Since when adds are counted as views. THhis idea doesnt even make sense...
Or do they mean adds in general are wrong...? Like you shouldnt promote your songs at all?
Also youtube views are irrelevant for anyone on higher then nugu tier.

you can run your video as an ad on other videos, which can hugely inflate the end countSince when adds are counted as views. THhis idea doesnt even make sense...

lots of people do this even though this is the most extreme example, it logically isn’t fair to only exclude him

if you do that you will sink smaller groups even deeper. they need exposure and some of them only get a shot with the help of youtube views
removing music show wins at all won't help either

NuguRiled over views.. and stream views too. Screw loose everywhere.

I totally agree, and I do think that youtube views are important to some extent. But bigs fandoms are taking it too far, when they're the ones who shouldn't be worried about having 50M or 100M views. ARMY's (I'm taking them as an example as they were in OP's post but they're far from being the only ones) are obsessed with youtube views and streaming but let's be honest... Even with less views they would win on music shows as much as they do and they would win as many awards (awards that they don't even deserve sometimes...) because they are one of the biggest artists on this planet right now and their fandom is dedicated to vote and buy their albums. Most views on the most popular artists videos are from their fans streaming day and night their videos, not from the general public (even if they do watch MV, or they wouldn't be at the top) so it means nothing, it just mean that the fandom is big and dedicated... For some fandom it's not a matter of music shows win anymore, but to break the most records.
When I see fans who stream day and night and make it a duty to break a views record, it makes me sad. And when I see some girls saying that they missed school to stream, aren't showering or aren't sleeping to stream, I wonder what's wrong with some people
