But the audacity of Rihanna who is racist towards Asians/Koreans and then promoting her product and trying to make money off of people she's racist towards is just distasteful, ironic and hypocritical, ya know. And then being unprofessional and disrespectful by being 2 hours late on top of that.

I wonder what she thinks of Koreans deep down inside her mind while she was talking and presenting her products in front of their faces. Maybe she was thinking how much more ugly and slanted the eyes of these Asian look and laughing that she's about to make money off of these people?

Yikes, that is racist. As someone who has experienced racism first hand, it's honestly changed my opinion of Rihanna tbh.
Like you said, there's never an excuse for racism. I don't understand how anyone can defend her for this...

Rihanna is a racist and any fans defending her is a bad look imho, even if SK and in particular some online portals and media outlets in Korea are still heavily xenophobic and even racist.

Edit: Interesting to note that a few people in this thread seem to think because some factions of Korea is racist(like anywhere else really) it's justification for Rihanna's racism. Just come out and say it, you think it's okay. Do it.

They're not pc at all but I have seen numerous people on /r/Korea point out that whenever something bad happens in western countries to overseas Koreans (e.g. once there was some Trumpster who tried to beat up some old Korean lady on the L.A. metro, another time some guys yelled racist stuff at an international student in germany) there are tons of articles about it on which Koreans comment about how oppressed they are, but when it comes to the systematic and entrenched racism against minorities and multicultural families in Korea in everything from entertainment to the immigration system, there is nary a peep from native citizens. And it's true. I rarely see Koreans stand up for minorities in their own country to condemn racism against them, but boy howdy are they obsessed with a few individuals being racist to their own countrymen when abroad
