Yknok recently found out that KakaoM owns 40% of Edam Entertainment, whose only artist is - Lee Jieun.
Which means, the remaining 60% is owned by
IU
Lee Jieun
and @dlwlrma. (Most likely it would be owned by some proxy's name but it would ultimately flow to KPop's Senior Singer.)
===
Super Junior has its own label, but it is 100% owned by SM. Although the members have a larger cut than other SM singers, ultimately SM also benefits from their activities although now SM is doing not much for SJ which are on their own.
Younha has stakes in C9 company,but she got some investors and it is no longer wholly owned by her, as far as I know.
Kang Daniel has his own company, but I am not sure whether it has nothing to do with CJ.
To make the big money, it is important for the singers to own the company. That is hard for groups, since there will always be at least one member who wants to stay with the company. (Example: SNSD, who has a member who is a relative of Mr. SM, so it will never be intact outside SM's thumb)
4 of the 5 BigBang members re-signed with YG, and although Seungri has created so many troubles, I think eventually he will return to YG too in an indirect way. There are a gazillion ways to keep ties without really revealing it.
Ditto to members of BTS who will probably be always under Mr. Bang's thumb.
I think that given the environment of KPop, eventually only people who can raise their own capital to keep a large portion of the profits for themselves will make huge money from there.

Yubin has her own company. Does IU really own 60% of the shares of Edam Entertainment ? It's more possible that there is more investors but remain private.

The company is worth not much since it is IU herself. It is possible that she got other investors friendly to her, but for all practical purposes she owns it.
Good for Yubin to own her company.
