Definitely appreciate a good illustrated cover. Imo they capture the vibe so much better.

As for my biases, I'm a sucker for the HYYH series covers. Especially the HYYH: Young Forever albums:

Tbh I don’t care as much, I more care about if the album is good quality and how nice the photo album inside is and the inclusions since that’s what I’m more concerned about.

The only time I care about “cover art” is when it’s those albums with multiple versions and each one has 1 member on the cover because I want the version with my favorite member on it :lurk2:

To me, it's very important to buy a physical copy.
Unfortunately, it's becoming a little of a lost art in the west unless the act plans to release the album on vinyl.
With Kpop it's hit and miss.

See, I am with you 100000%. I feel like in the west, the photoshoot gets the whole budget???

Don't get me wrong - Jewel cases are better for the environment than kits but they could make it prettier???

im most familiar with exo albums so just based on those, i find their digital album covers pretty basic since they’re usually a combo of a plain color background + a new design of the exo logo, which is cool but nothing really spectacular imo
for physical album cover, i like the power of music the most cause of the comic concept art - it’s unique and very different from everything else that they do :think:
