Minegishi Minami wrapped up a 15-year career with AKB48 yesterday with her graduation concert. AKB's last original member was joined on stage by all 60+ AKB48 members and 31 former members who reunited to give her the best possible send-off.
Minegishi Minami was not only the longest-running member in the 48 groups but also one of the most veteran female idols in all of Japan. During her time in AKB she was a member of all teams (A, B, K, 4 and kenkyuusei) and she's a former captain of both team 4 and team K and was part of the subunit No Sleeves. Minami will continue to be active in entertainment after her graduation.
Her official graduation will be on the 28th with a performance at the AKB48 theatre.
