I would prefer her to be white with red hair, and that's coming from a black person, and so I don't necessarily think that everyone who also feels that way is racist. It's just that a lot of people build up a fantasy or an expectation and that was ruined. Of course, you definitely have your racists out there that dislike it as well.
Anyway, it's already been decided though I wish they just stuck to making it look like the animation. I don't know why they would do this honestly. Yes, she can sing, but it's not like there aren't white girls who can sing. I just don't buy that excuse.
The only good thing I see about this is at least they went all the way when casting a black girl, and not a white-passing light skin girl.
