I was so shocked when I saw that Michigan (at least right now), Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin went red. Maybe I have too much faith in this country but something is off about this election.

I can't even go back home because home isn't much better. WE ARE COOKED LLAMA

Even Iowa?? Hell Matt Gaetz voted against Fema funding and Florida still voted red??? WHERE IS THE SENSE????

ALSO YES??? BECAUSE THESE RESULTS DIRECTLY DESTROY HOME TOO???

We have to find a way out. I think I'm finally ready to give up and see what's across the pond.

Aside from an election, this cultist movement needs to be stopped. We aren't meant to worship our leaders like this.

I hear rent is extremely expensive

I live in a semi-regional town close to a popular popular holiday destination and our rent has skyrocketed. One of my family friends pays 1000 dollars a fortnight and they're in public housing. I can only imagine that the house prices in the cities would be much more inflated. The city I lived in up until 2019 had free public transportation, but the rent has shot up there as well.

Well, at least the politics today is not as extreme. The right-wing party has minus-zero chances of getting in because their leader is so grossly unpopular that it's a wonder how people even re-elected him to parliament. Political parties here have to appeal to the centre swing-voters rather than their bases, as they often end up being the deciding factors in elections & our politicians don't hyperfocus on talking points like abortion or universal healthcare bc it's already often seen as a universal right. The talking points in recent years re: elections here have often been relegated to housing & the economy

As for the weather, if you don't like the heat don't bother moving north of like... Sydney bc the humidity is insane. I'm planning on ditching the North Coast for Sydney again early next year bc I don't fancy living in a mini-oven that feels like it's boiling my brain sksk

I use to watch this Brisbane Jfashion vlogger on Tiktok and she made Australia seem very nice so I’ve been eyeballing it before this, though this old Jfashion YouTuber from my past use to pay over $1-2k a WEEK for rent which terrified me I stopped following her after she turned problematic but I know at some point Australia became too expensive for her and her and her husband moved to Japan for a lower cost of life.

I’m also TERRIFIED of kangaroos (I can do spiders, just not kangaroos).
