- Art set (more gender neutral and what I donated last year. I feel like it’s kinda boring, but it’s at least daily life usable year round?)
- Higher-end art set. (I have no idea if the toy drive is kids only or includes older kids, but I thought a nice beginner art set would be something an older child would like over a kid’s art set).

legos dont have to be expensive. Something like this is cheap an has a lot of value. I got this for a 7 year old, and you can build 3 different builds, so it would make them want to play with it more than just the one time of putting it together. However, if this is like 13 years old, then his kinda thin wouldn't work.

most types of balls, simple nerf guns are beloved and cheap like this one, play-doh, a classic board game like connect 4 also runs pretty cheap
