For me Denise left the group when she started her hiatus and when they added Minji and Zuu. I never expected her to return. At least she confirmed it.

I believe idol life wasn't for her, too restrictive, it's probably hard to censor yourself when you lived in a country like the USA.

She seems to do well, more than 220K followers, AleXa and Daisy followed her.

I wish her the best

spent about 2 hrs talking bout this before coming here

I already felt it was highly unlikely she would return. And just waiting for the contract to officially expire so either side could give a statement. Although I somewhat prepared myself. of course the final nail in the coffin still hurts. but... I just want Denise happy. It definitely won't be the last time we see or hear from her. But now she has more options. She is back home. She can continue school... go back to for more training.. or pursue musical career in the U.S. or all of the above?!


I always mention this but get ignored. But on Eric Nam podcast she mentions how she loves to sing.. but the goal was never to become an idol. But.. to get your music across.. you kind of have to become an idol.




My feelings are... when she was going to Korea she met with Vine through Jinny. They made some deal and "at that time" Denise thought it was a good opportunity and right decision. But then COVID fucked it all up! No live stage performances, delays, unable to travel back to the U.S., getting homesick, if I was her.. I'll probably re-evaluate my priorities when my contract renewal was approaching.
Nonetheless... I'm still gonna support her and secret number. her voice is too good to go to waste and everyone knows that. and the girl loves singing way too much to give it up. WE WILL SEE HER AGAIN!!!

Thankfully Secret Number got enough noticed, especially with international fans. So even if Denise left the industry she had time to get known and have fans followed her.

I wish her a better fate than another former female idol, and I think she'll do fine if she can handle to keep interacting with her fans and releasing songs.

TBH Denise doesn't seem the type that would be bothered much if she wasn't popular or an idol. I think all she wants to do sing. After she went back to Texas to finish high school she used to sing in her church choir and did small coffee shop stages. But let's see what happens cuz now she has lot of stage experience and working in GG. I just can't see her wasting that talent. She might follow a Tiffany Young path. Come out with some singles... maybe eventually a album. and idk.. maybe do small local tours? With COVID is doesn't seem that much better in the U.S. but there are less restrictions than korea thats for sure.

I mean.. I loved Fire Sat. era. maybe even more than Who Dis. I can't stop thinking what it be like if Denise was there. Its obvious the vocals was made for her vocal range and tone. as well as a five member dance choreo. but... it is what it is. there's gotta be some old BTS photos of her for fire sat. tho

Denise is one of the few that Jinny still kept in contact during her trainee years. I'm sure they'll keep in contact too. but.. now they gonna be so busy doing their own thing I guess it won't be the same
