Just read the article. And IMO, I think it's fine because the article hugely only focused on NCT127 post-Winwin. Though I understand Winwin was part of the original 127 unit, I'm assuming this article was written because of their newest release of "Highway to Heaven (Eng Ver)" which does not include Winwin. I think including 10 names, but only having 9 members in the video may lead to confusion to readers who aren't aware of NCT127's newest release and/or may lead to the conclusion that Winwin is still currently promoting in NCT127.

Of course, my statement would pointless if the original article contained all NCT127 releases since debut which Winwin was in before and all that had to be deleted. However, if all they did was delete Winwin's name and everything else in the article is the same as now, then my statement still stands.

nope, wayv is technically under SM. their label, Label V, is owned by SM Beijing (the real name is in Chinese so it's not obvious it's SM but the initials still read SM lol) which all of its shares owned by SM

I'm so sick of SM doing this. Like why even add him to NCT 127 in the first place then? He literally had no lines and such little screen time anyway so why not just debut him in WayV from the start. I'll still miss him being part of NCT 127 though
It's especially stupid considering I thought that they said NCT 127 is the 'permanent' unit, as in no members will be added/taken away and yet they kept adding members and now they've taken away winwin.

This is why wayv isnt called "nct china", sm wants no issues with the nct IP getting fucked over in China and not having their joint venture partners steal from them as is so common with any business done in china. So they gotta cut out any overlap between the groups and have nct china be separated.

Winwin was added to 127 partly because they want someone in nct china to have a loyal fanbase first before the group would officially debut in china to make it easier and another part was because of his acrobatic talent. Please remember that most chinese kpop acts that got instally popular in China must already made their name (atleast) known in Korea, not just some "nugu" could get any attention in China.

They might want to erase him as part of 127 because they might want to separate WayV from NCT in the future because it would be easier politicaly to be known as a chinese group rather than a chinese korean group.

Part of the reason why TFBoys is so popular was because they got the goverment support. And all WayV members also introduced themself as Chinese. Lucas said he came from "Hongkong, China, Hendery from Macau, China, and even Yangyang said he came from Taiwan, China. They werent like Lai Guanlin who were ambigously said that he came from Taipei without mentioning the country. There is a reason why their label was named Label V not SM China.

SM probably have an ambition to make WayV as the New National BoyGroup while all TFBoys members are trying to build their acting careers. But they also know that they need to be careful so that the boys wouldnt get so popular individually to make them think they could leave the group like KrisHanTao

I know Winwin has history of being mistreated by SM, but this matter in particular ain't surprising considering he is currently with WayV rather than NCT127 at the moment, the later have been promoting a lot in the US without him, It would be weird if they talk about him when he isn't really promoting with them, basides, it's not like he is in the basement begging to get out. He is still part of NCT just not under the same unit. This rotational concept SM likes to play may have him comeback in the future, who knows?

I understand the sentiment and how he is being missed in NCT127 though. SM sucks.
