Starship States Photos Being Spread Of MONSTA X’s Shownu Are Manipulated + Vows To Take Strong Legal Action

Starship Entertainment has released a statement vowing to take strong legal action against a set of photos being spread and being tied to MONSTA X’s Shownu.

On November 3, an individual on Twitter posted three photos online and claimed that they were of MONSTA X’s Shownu. In the photos, a man can be seen sleeping on a bed in his underwear, and one of the photos is more explicit than the others as he appears to be fully unclothed. The photos in question seem to have been taken in secret while the man was asleep, and they began spreading quickly on social media and online communities.

Starship Entertainment has since released a statement regarding the photos. They stated:

Photos that were illegally manipulated in relation to Shownu have been spread online and through social media. We will be filing a report with the police on the first person who posted the photos, as well as those who have helped spread the photos, and we will work with our legal representative to pursue strong legal action through civil suits for compensation of damages on the basis of violating the Act on special cases concerning punishments of sexual violence crimes, circulating material deemed pornographic by the Act on Information and Communications Network, and violating personal rights.

Whether they’re real or not, it’s pretty fucked up that people are spreading it and I’m sideyeing you hard for asking for them OP, even if it was a joke.

I really feel bad for Monsta X and Monbebes. I’m starting to think that it isn’t just Han Seohee and her friends targeting them but something bigger than that but maybe I’m looking too deeply into it. It feels a bit strange that this all started because of an old video and it led onto a slew of scandals targeting the most popular members all during promotions

I came out of my hibernation from forums to make sure no one posted about this.

Please do not spread this around Monbebe are working very hard to make sure that those photos are not spread around and making sure that attention isn't drawn to this issue. I'm not even going to type his name because I don't want it to affect the search results.

Asking for someone to send you the photos is absolutely despicable and unacceptable. The photos were taken without his constent and it's straight up sexual harrasment. If this were a female idol would people be reacting the same way? Besides Starship are taking strong legal action against anyone who helps spread the photos online so I'd advise you to think before you act.
