odd eye getting better for me after every listen

i interpret it as a song about real life and living on the internet behind an online persona. so they realised that their online "life" is just an illusion, pretty on the surface but full of lies inside, so there's no utopia to be found there. so no utopia in reality or the internet. sad

the casual rock/heavy metal fans expecting dc to be the korean babymetal, but instead dc released a major-sound song with brighter concept. sometimes, heavy metal fans can be quite elitist. i'm so glad that dc didn't go the babymetal route, i really don't understand what's so good about babymetal sound.

I'm glad they didn't go the Babymetal route either. I want Dreamcatcher to have their own identity and not have people be like "Oh, they're the Korean Babymetal"...

odd eye's mv views growth are slower than boca at this point, but the album sales is massive. officially 45,563 copies for the first day, outsold the entire first week of dlm.

Yeah, but did DCC buy digital ads this time around? That's what got them so many views last time.

As of the time I'm writing this, it's You Tube #15 ON TRENDING which is the highest I've seen it


OT - Subin will be promoting Sign (the song she was given on Miss Back) so it's possible Dreamcatcher and Subin may run into each other at a music show or two. I'd love to see a pic of Subin + JiU +SuA - same age friends

Interestingly, the general kpop follower reaction is hugely positive, lots of people saying they've upped the budget, and this is their best video in particular...

this is about OE right

So IMO when I first watched OE mv :

1. Music wise interesting starting buildup but then poof into nothingness

2. MV wise looks high budget ish (then again I dont really follow DC MVs anymore and I always compare it to their first year MVs lol). Wouldnt call it best MV tho

3. It does feel more like "general(?) or "trendy"(?) (idk how to express in word) kpop sound/style overall" ..... well this is really far away comparison but lets say I kinda saw/felt the MV akin to blackpinks' early days vibe (with all the discotheque(?)/hiphop(?) whatever the proper wording is). The music is literally different but the MV aestethics kinda feel like what BP would do --- then again idk current BP, Im kinda basing on their early days when I still followed kpop lol

All in all, just my opinion, which might be wrong

yep dcc bought youtube ads (screenshot from a somnia), but the views are growing slower than boca era. i think youtube changed their algorithm.

Typically, you'll see it a lot with smaller groups, they'll use really fast cuts to cover lower quality/simple sets. The mv is very pretty, don't get me wrong, I was joking when I implied it was cheap kek.
I just think it's interesting that lots of people have voiced the budget looks higher, when DC have used wayyyy more elaborate sets and locations than this before. Just my two cents on it, I don't work in the field or anything, just an outside look.
