yea, fuck this country...the only saving grace here is that I live in California, so things shouldn't get too crazy...hopefully democrats can at least win the house (unless they already lost it...I stopped paying attention)
It was a clean sweep. Electoral, Popular, House and Senate. :iwillfightyou:

Dems need to deeply reflect on how badly they fucked this up, the way they ran this campaign polarized too much of their base and ended up screwing them over in the long run.

I pray for everyone...like all the food recalls we're having rn are a result of Trump's presidency imagine how much WORSE everything is about to get. It's very upsetting that literally everywhere is swinging towards the Right too and I hope this will cause a major swing towards the radical left sooner than later.

Basically, the US still has a lot of racists and misogynists.

Some of us like to think otherwise, but every once in a while reality just whacks us in the head. Like yesterday.

I think it's only a part of the issue, otherwise Obama wouldn't have won and Hillary Clinton would not have won the popular vote. Focusing only on those will not make people fully understand there's other reasons and to fully remove the blinders.

Calling them stupid, racist, misogynists might be true for some of them, maybe many of them, it might be a way to move on from the denial/anger/bargain stages, but as far as I know it never worked to persuade them to change side. Here where I live it's been over 20 years since people were doing it and the far right is nowadays never been so close to be elected.

And this time Dems really did badly, since 2016 it looks like they didn't learn and/or weren't able to come up with a better strategy, etc.

At least it will be the last time for Trump. But we do have two worlds who are having more and more troubles to live together and we are talking about a country who will have an impact on the world that's why everyone is concerned.

Well, yes, but Obama was a man, and Hilary was white. Kamala is a black woman...apparently in this country can only stomach one of those things, not a combination of both

My thoughts are with every woman, trans, member of the LGBT community, basically everyone who lives in a state of fear right now. To see this unfolding after seeing the results of the EU election earlier this year makes me feel very anxious about the future and safety of women everywhere. I'm also very close to Russia and this doesn't help my worries either.
