JACKSON WANG was born on 03.28.1994. He’s a former sabre fencer for Hong Kong’s team. He was ranked eleventh in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, and won first place at the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships in 2011. Jackson attended the American International School Hong Kong. His mother, Sophia Chow, was an Olympic gymnast from Shanghai, China. His father, Wang Ruiji, was a member of China's national fencing team and an Asian Games gold medalist. He came to Korea to pursue his dreams of becoming a KPOP idol, and became a member of a group GOT7 in 2014. Jackson can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Korean and English. He also learnt French when he was younger, it was needed for fencing. Jackson’s solo debut and studio opening were announced in June 2017.
