From fromis in the house show, it seem like fromis live alone. But there is a famous story of them during their time at Off The Record. One of the member hid in a carrier bag while another member smuggle them out.

I'm low-key wondering if maybe living with a manager is more of a 2nd and 3rd gen thing and is slowly being phased out?

There are some 3rd and 4th gen groups I know still live with a manager (Ateez still does, Aespa still does, I can't really comment on NCT anymore since i'm pretty sure a lot of them moved out on their own by now).

But there's also a lot of groups now who never lived with a manager (Stray Kids, The Boyz, TXT, Illit, NJ, and it doesn't look like StayC or IVE lives with a manager as well).

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t recall Hybe really having dorm aunties for their groups ? I don’t recall BTS ever having one (Jin usually did all the cooking). I also don’t recall Gfriend or Fromis_9 having one either, but we have a lot of experts on those two groups here so please educate me if I’m wrong. TXT I can’t remember if they have a dorm auntie? The only groups I’ve ever heard having ones are NCT.

i don't really follow hybe but i did follow them when they were still big hit and yeah i wouldn't make some of these comparisons, like bts who came from a different time entirely and txt who were still technically pre-hybe. fromis_9 and gfriend i don't know their story that well under hybe but i know they're not their biggest girl groups and so the money they're bringing in wouldnt be as much, no? plus they're not hybe's babies like lsfm and illit are, mhm?

my first comparison would be nj's to lsfm, does anyone actually follow lsfm to give insight into this?
