(+805,-225) I thought there must be a reason why they gave it to IU only, but she really did it so well.
(+544,-125) As soon as the drama started, IU becomes Jang Manwol. Everything was so good while i'm watching the drama, but it's also fun to watch Jang Manwol's fashion style!
(+390,-92) I really enjoyed watching her yesterday! She was so pretty. I enjoyed her acting more after My Mister!!
(+311,-30) Woah seriously this is no joke.
(+211,-39) I will look forward for today ㅠㅠ
(+62,-27) It's look awkward..

Actually, it is your typical Kdrama with a rich male lead and a penniless love interest, with the gender roles reversed. The writers just added the ghost thing to make the implausible story that a 26 years old owns a huge, luxurious hotel without having to add the gaggle of rich, bratty family members.
That is why an actor younger than the youngest lifetime achievement winner of KPop was cast there.

I think the drama is excellent. The big picture of the story, the side stories, Jang Man Wol's aesthetics, ManChan's banters and more. Jang Man Wol is the bomb. Ji Eun really did justice to her role. She did so well with the character. Hotel Del Luna is so intriguing and fun, just right mix of spookiness, romance, drama and comedy. Can't wait for more.
Also congratulations for the good ratings. It is well received.

The Mooju nation is actually China's Wu Zhou empire, which is what Empress Wu Zetian called her empire after she ended the Tang Dynasty on 690 CE. Since most people include her rule as part of the Tang Dynasty, Wu Zhou (actually just Zhou, but there were quite a few Zhous in Chinese history so they call it Wu Zhou to identify that it was Wu Zetian who founded that empire) is not a familiar name to most people. It is even less familiar to the Koreans.
It is also an indrect reference that KPop's most senior singer is comparable to an empress.

I cried because of Manager Noh's departure. That was very heart wrenching part. You can see in that scene that Jang Man Wol cares about him but just trying not to be affected by it.

Hotel Del Luna apparently has a website.
I thought Jang Man Wol said that they don't have website because they only accepts ghosts but hey, who am I to complain? I'm actually lovin' this fan interaction just like Jang Man Wol's instagram account.

Just watched the first two episode. It's giving me feels of A Korean Odyssey & Goblin.
Great acting and the storyline is engaging so far. Can't wait for the next episode.

I wish the old general manager didn't die so fast. Hopefully Kang Mina will appear in the drama soon
thoughts on episode 3
- First of all, my heart did something while watching Man Wol's flashback, I'm already invested in her backstory... C'mon Hotel Del Luna, slap me w that angst! I didn't realize the thief and the guard captain (?) would become friends, but from what was shown in Chan Sung's dream they were all friends... I feel sad now because for sure something awful happened to both of them ): That smile in the dream tho, so full of life ;; not me shipping her and the past dude though
- Lee Joon Gi the exorcist HAHAHAHAH why was that so funny? And the second guy basically kicking Man Wol back to Earth LMAO it was hilarious. This drama has really good pacing, the scary and funny scenes have great timing
- Mina's scenes were so spooky lmao it was like watching an actual horror movie... I loved that. Didn't expect her character to have that background though, that was heavy. It'll be interesting to see what'll happen now
- I love how quickly Chan Sung's interest in Man Wol started... He's trying not to, but it's obvious he is super curious about her, and I can't wait more of their lil talks. That ending scene was incredible, it is indeed true Man Wol has changed in his life and now seems to be the center of it... I really want him to become friends with the rest of the staff though! Chan Sung is a fluff ball of sunshine that must be protected... But as cute as he is, he's also smart and very brave, he feels really real. Awesome characterization so far. "Roar" HAHAHAHAH

i really loved episode 4 <3
this episode was more emotional than i anticipated... starting off with the dog that never left his owner, the female ghost that finally left for the afterlife, man wol's flashbacks... everything was really bittersweet, and at the center of it all there's chan seong, doing his best to help everyone and keeping his head high. i'm perhaps a lil in love with him?? i just- he's the sweetest aaa <3
the ending was really spooky omg well done! that kiss omfg i know it was so he wouldn't look but it was really cuuute
