Well China basically played the reverse card on Taiwan at UN in 71, so WHO being part of UN avoiding this question isn't a surprise as China is one of the big dogs there. China has been playing 4D chess in the geopolitic games masterfully lately (and sadly for democracy).

Too many people are beholden to the RMB. You can blame the WHO (I do), but you also have to blame all the Western corporations who bend over backwards to try and appease the CCP every time someone upsets the very sensitive "Chinese people". If the West is smart, it will use this crisis to wrest back some control by shifting part of its production back home. I'm just not sure whether big companies (nor corrupt leaders of developing countries) are able to pull away from China's teats.
