I’ll always find it odd how age gap relationships are often romanticized in works targeted towards young girls but alas.
- Revolutionary Girl Utena does a great job of deconstructing this trope! It’s probably the only time i’ve seen it openly painted in negative light (at least in the shoujo genre).

always found it strange in Sailor Moon why the anime team aged up Tuxedo mask to be 18 when he was supposed to be 16? him being older really doesn't add anything to the story
