Has anyone read the rumors about JYPE wanting to debut a band like DAY6? I forgot where i read it and don't remember if it was a boyband or girlband. It'd be amazing if it was a girlband, like when Wonder Girls learned to play instruments to follow this concept, i think that there needs to be more k pop rock girlbands, i only hear about day6, the rose, ftisland, etc. and i'm sure that JYPE could make a great girlband, since every girlgroup they produced was and is successful.

I have. Unfortunately I don't believe there's any evidence behind those rumors, but I'd really like to see more k-girlbands as well. I think it would suit Lily and Hayul who are older and vocal-focused but the rest of the girls are more dance focused so they'd have to recruit new girls who can write and play instruments which they don't seem to be doing.

ITS a male band. JYP Entertainment were looking for instruments player in LA to join a male band.

I know JYP is recruiting for a male band...my comment was saying that they WEREN'T doing so for female trainees and therefore the girlband rumor doesn't have evidence

been interested in jinsol ever since we saw her in that itzy video! does anyone know anything abt her other than being an 06 liner?

what age do you think the maknae will be? my guess is that it's gonna be an 06 liner (maybe even jinsol) if their debut is in 2021. i don't see jyp debuting anyone under 15.

was the debut said to be 2021? i know the date could be set back cos of the virus, but nizi project is still going on so :S

apologies if this is ot, but early 4th gen is probably gonna be a battle for the nation's gg title.

sm, bighit and yg are aiming to make the ngg. i see jypngg having a cute concept as itzy are girl crush and twice are easing into mature concept.

each company has pros and cons that could make or break their chance of having the ngg.

jyp
pros - every gg under jyp has success + hits, has 2 ngg (wonder girls + twice), known to be good at making ggs, the gg will have hype generated from twice + itzy, the company has access to top notch producers like black eyed pilseung and choreographers like lia kim.

cons - tbh i can't think of cons when it comes to ggs since most of jyp's faults with songs + promotions lie with his bgs. jyp does have problems like every other company when it comes to making their trainees weight loss + overworking their idols (mainly twice).

sm
pros - access to top notch producers + demos, most ggs have had success, has 1 ngg (snsd), known for having idols with vocal talent/visuals.

cons - fixation on "western validation" (superm) (so the gg could have a gc concept??), like to experiment

bighit
pros - bts hype, chance of international success due to this.

cons - too much confidence (imo) as it seems they are trying to aim for ngg + global gg titles (judging from the auditions), bts hype might not be as strong as txt's due to being under soumo and (possibly) not interacting with bts, might go for a story line/theories which could backfire.

yg
pros - are there even any...

cons - company is a sinking ship, association with yg is more of a curse than a blessing, the group members on youth with you (jane wang + vicky wei) have that "badass" yg image which conflicts with the "cute ngg" concept that yg wants for them.

I don't think there is really any more info on Jinsol. A lot of the current JYPE trainees are shrouded in mystery. Also all the JYP trainee showcases are cancelled this year so that doesn't help either.

I think you're right, the youngest they would debut a trainee is 15. Suzy, Yuna were 15. Tzuyu was 16. Nina for Nizi is 15.

I think it would be best to debut the JYPNGG in early 2022. Some of their promising korean trainees are in 2003 line. I think once they graduate high school they will get nervous about whether they will debut and some might leave the company for other opportunities. A few like Jiayu have left.

Tbh probably even earlier. Lily M is a 2002 liner. And most trainees want to debut before the age of 19.
